Senior DevOps Engineer Lead / DevOps Architect

Location: Katowice - 2 days office / 3 days remote

The opportunity

We are looking for DevOps Engineers to join our TechOps team. DevOps is one of the core practices within the Cloud Operations competency with the following key offerings:

  • Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment [CI/CD]
  • Environment Provisioning (On Prem/Cloud)
  • Automated Infrastructure via IaC
  • Monitoring & Logging and Site Reliability

As DevOps engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on industry leading greenfield and/or brownfield implementations that meets the highest DevOps standards providing best user experience to EY clients across the globe. You have a passion for automation and try to implement it at every turn.

Your key responsibilities

  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
  • Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable, and automated software delivery processes using tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab CI.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues, and implement logging and alerting for proactive incident management and uptime reliability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with development, QA, and security teams to align DevOps practices, streamline deployments, and ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Manage cloud resources efficiently, optimizing for cost, performance, and availability while supporting container orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), including managing infrastructure, services, and deployments on that platform.
  • Practical experience with typical DevOps technology stacks such as Linux administration, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), infrastructure as code (Terraform), and CI/CD pipeline tools or data platforms.
  • Experience with scripting and automation skills with languages like Bash, Python, or Go to build reliable and repeatable deployment and management processes.
  • Solid understanding of version control systems (Git) and collaborative workflows to support continuous integration and delivery (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
  • Effective English communication skills, enabling clear collaboration with global teams, understanding documentation, and participating in agile development cycles.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline with 8+ years’ of experience
  • Cloud DevOps Certification (at least one : MS Azure/AWS/GCP)

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Proven experience designing and implementing scalable, highly available cloud-native architectures.
  • Hands-on experience optimizing cloud environments for cost efficiency, performance, and resilience.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills across complex distributed systems.
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers and promoting DevOps culture and best practices across teams.
