Full description

Salary: $75,000 to $100,000 per year + bonus + car allowance + cell phone allowance

LINX is hiring an Associate Project Manager to support the execution of our largest hyperscale data center construction builds, paying $75,000 to $100,000 a year.

This role works directly alongside a Project Manager, coordinating scheduling, materials, documentation, and day-to-day jobsite activity on fast-track, high-pressure mission-critical data center projects. It's built as a growth path, not a terminal admin role: candidates who excel here are developing the skills and exposure to step into full Project Manager ownership.

Where This Role Fits at LINX

Associate Project Manager → Project Manager → Senior Project Manager → Program Manager

An Associate Project Manager works under a Project Manager's direction, handling the coordination, documentation, and materials-tracking workload that keeps a hyperscale build on schedule, while building the budget, scheduling, and stakeholder-management experience needed to run a project independently.

What You'll Be Doing

Project Coordination & Scheduling

  • Assist the Project Manager with daily coordination of project activities, including scheduling updates, meeting notes, and action item tracking
  • Track project milestones, identify schedule gaps, and follow up on critical path activities

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain organized project files, including RFIs, submittals, change logs, and closeout documentation
  • Track QA/QC items and punch lists, and ensure documentation aligns with project requirements

Materials & Logistics Tracking

  • Track OFCI and CFCI materials, monitor deliveries, and coordinate staging and site readiness

Field & Stakeholder Communication

  • Act as a liaison between field crews and project leadership to resolve issues and keep communication clear
  • Support communication flow between the client, general contractor, vendors, and internal teams through updates and reporting

Project Closeout Support

  • Help compile turnover packages, test results, and final documentation for project completion

Minimum Requirements

Required

  • 1-3 years of project coordination or project management experience in a construction environment
  • 1-3 years of experience on mission-critical data center or large hyperscale construction projects
  • Understanding of the project management lifecycle, including initiation, planning, estimating/budgeting, delivery, monitoring, and closeout
  • Ability to develop timelines for design, procurement, mobilization, and project delivery
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and customers at various stages of the project lifecycle
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, and a self-directed working style
  • Valid driver's license

Preferred

  • Exposure to data center, low voltage, or mission-critical environments
  • Experience supporting large-scale or fast-track construction projects
  • Familiarity with project management tools
  • Basic understanding of fiber optic or low voltage systems
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree (not required)

This Role Is Probably Not Right For You If

  • You're looking for a purely administrative or clerical role with no path toward full project ownership, this position is built as a stepping stone into Project Manager, not a terminal admin job
  • You've only worked in a corporate office setting and haven't been embedded on an active construction jobsite before
  • You need heavy daily oversight, this role requires a self-directed person who can track multiple fast-moving work streams without constant direction

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Rate: $75,000 to $100,000 per year

Bonus: Performance-based bonus opportunities available

Benefits:

  • 401(k) with 50% employer match on the first 5% contributed
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance with FSA and HSA options
  • Short and long-term disability coverage
  • 3 weeks PTO (vacation and sick combined)
  • 8 paid holidays
  • Cell phone allowance
  • Car allowance
  • Bonus opportunities
  • Direct advancement path to Project Manager
