Benefits
Full description
TJM Labs builds AI-driven automation that strips away the repetitive, error-prone tasks slowing pharmacies down so teams can focus on patient care. Our bots handle prescription intake, fax processing, insurance workflows and more, helping pharmacies scale efficiently without adding headcount.
TJM Labs is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineering leads and senior engineers who build our pharmacy automation platform.
You will own your team's delivery, the growth of your people, and the processes that keep the team reliable, working closely with the Director of Engineering, Product, pharmacists and customer-facing teams. This role is a great fit for a technically credible manager who builds teams as much as software, gives direct feedback, and takes ownership when a commitment is at risk.
What You'll Do
- Manage engineering leads and senior engineers, with regular 1:1s and clear expectations
- Own delivery for your domain: commitments, milestones, dependencies and risk
- Own team growth, including performance reviews, calibration and promotions
- Hire and onboard great engineers
- Own team process: planning, retros, on-call and incident follow-through
- Provide technical judgment in design reviews and help teams balance speed with long-term health
- Partner with Product, pharmacists and customer-facing teams to align priorities and capacity
Required
- 6+ years in engineering, including 2+ years managing engineers, ideally including team leads (we weigh scope over years)
- Experience owning delivery for a domain, with realistic commitments and early risk tracking
- Technical judgment to join design reviews, challenge estimates and guide teams through trade-offs
- Experience hiring, coaching and growing engineers, and handling performance issues with care and clarity
- Strong partnership with Product, customer-facing teams and other engineering leaders
- Clear written and verbal English communication, and comfort working in a remote team
Nice to Have
- Experience in pharmacy or healthcare
- Experience with AI-powered products, automation or complex integrations
- Experience scaling a team through rapid growth
- Fully remote work environment.
- Competitive compensation.
- Meaningful projects with direct business impact.
- High ownership and autonomy.
- Opportunity to work with AI-driven technologies and modern development tools.
- A collaborative team focused on solving real problems for healthcare customers.
