About InXpress Global:

InXpress is an international franchisor of parcel, freight, and logistics services, delivered through a proprietary software platform. The business operates across 14 countries, with 400+ franchisees supporting more than 43,000 small and mid-sized customers. Through its network and carrier relationships, including DHL, UPS, FedEx, and LTL providers, InXpress gives customers access to shipping rates and infrastructure typically reserved for much larger enterprises. We are looking for a Mid-Level QA Engineer to help ensure the delivery of high-quality software that powers our global shipping platform.

Job Summary:

As a Mid-Level QA Engineer, you will design and execute tests across our web and API applications, build and maintain automation scripts, and increasingly apply AI-powered tools to speed up test creation, execution, and maintenance. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and senior QA staff to strengthen our testing processes and improve release quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Planning & Execution:

  • Write and execute detailed test cases and test plans for new features and regression cycles.
  • Perform functional, regression, exploratory, and system testing across web and API applications.
  • Identify, document, and track defects clearly, and work with developers to verify fixes.

Test Automation & AI-Assisted Testing:

  • Build and maintain automated test scripts for UI and API testing using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Apply AI-powered testing tools (e.g., self-healing locators, AI-based test generation, or tools such as Claude, Testim, Mabl, Applitools, or GitHub Copilot) to accelerate test authoring, reduce maintenance effort, and improve test coverage.
  • Use AI/LLM-assisted approaches to help generate test cases, summarize defects, analyze test results, and flag anomalies in test data.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps) and help maintain their reliability.

Collaboration & Process Improvement:

  • Work with developers, product managers, and senior QA engineers to clarify requirements and testing scope.
  • Use bug tracking tools like JIRA to log, prioritize, and follow up on defects.
  • Contribute ideas for improving QA processes, including opportunities to introduce AI-driven testing efficiencies.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) and provide QA input.

Performance & Quality Support:

  • Assist with basic performance testing using tools like JMeter under guidance from senior team members.
  • Support efforts to keep applications secure and compliant with industry standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2–4 years of QA experience in a software development environment.
  • Working experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools or techniques (e.g., AI-based test generation, self-healing tests, or using AI coding assistants for test scripting).
  • Experience with API testing (e.g., Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI).
  • Working knowledge of Java and TypeScript/JavaScript preferred, matching our backend and front-end stack; experience in Python or C# is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
  • Understanding of Agile, Scrum, and SDLC methodologies.
  • Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Clear communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with AI/ML-based testing platforms (e.g., Testim, Mabl, Applitools, Functionize). Hands-on experience using Claude for test authoring and maintenance is a strong plus.
  • Exposure to AWS or another cloud platform.
  • ISTQB or other relevant QA certifications.
