Applications span material handling equipment, battery systems, charging infrastructure, warehouse automation, electric vehicles, ground support equipment, renewable energy, and industrial electrification markets.

We are seeking a Product Support Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring the ongoing success and performance of our existing products throughout their lifecycle. Your expertise will contribute to the resolution of technical issues, improvements in product quality, and the seamless transition of products from development to production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary engineering resource for released and legacy products.
  • Partner with design engineering, manufacturing, quality, and technical support to resolve product-related issues.
  • Investigate field failures, customer feedback, and manufacturing deviations using structured root-cause methods (e.g., 8D, 5-Why) and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Design and implement product improvements that enhance functionality, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Evaluate and implement product, material, supplier, and manufacturing changes—including alternate components and cost-reduction initiatives with procurement—balancing cost, availability, quality, and compliance.
  • Develop test protocols to validate design changes against product specifications and quality standards.
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation, including engineering change orders (ECOs), DFMEA/PFMEA, technical reports, and test records.
  • Support new product development through design reviews, prototyping, and test planning.
  • Provide regular status updates to stakeholders on sustaining engineering projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering field.
  • · 1-3 years of experience in sustaining, product, or manufacturing engineering for electromechanical components.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks (or equivalent 3D CAD), GD&T, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
  • Demonstrated root-cause analysis experience using structured methods (e.g., 8D, 5-Why, fishbone).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities in cross-functional teams.

Preferred:

  • Experience with power connectors or electrical components, including testing for contact resistance, temperature rise, and mating cycles.
  • Knowledge of injection-molded plastics, metal stamping, and plating processes.
  • Familiarity with UL, CSA, or IEC product standards and PPAP/ISIR processes.
  • Experience with simulation tools (e.g., FEA, thermal analysis) and ERP or PLM systems.
