Master Data Management Project Manager - Large Programs
About the Role
Vertiv is seeking an experienced Master Data Management Project Manager to join our Large Programs team, where you'll play a pivotal role in managing complex, high-visibility projects for our Global Strategic Accounts. As the central hub connecting engineering, procurement, and operations, you'll drive project success from conception through delivery while ensuring seamless coordination across all stakeholders.
What You'll Do
Master Data & Material Readiness
- Drive the end-to-end part release process in close partnership with the Engineering team, ensuring all components are accurately configured and procurement-ready.
- Work closely with the global MDM team in ensuring timely release of parts in the system
- Ensure BOM readiness for new product introductions (NPDi) and complex ETO products specific to Large Programs requirements
- Partner with the Materials team to validate material availability and readiness for prototype builds and full-scale production runs.
System Integration & Accuracy
- Manage accurate BOM releases across multiple enterprise systems including CPQ, Oracle Fusion, and Alice EBS
- Maintain data integrity and consistency across all facilities and manufacturing locations
- Investigate and resolve data discrepancies through cross-functional collaboration with Order Management, Design Engineering, Operations, and the Manila MDM team.
- Troubleshoot and debug system-level issues in coordination with Manila Procurement and Global MDM teams to ensure parts are available for purchase order placement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Problem-Solving
- Lead cross-functional teams as needed including Design Engineering, Material Procurement, BOM Specialists, AME and Buyers
- Serve as key liaison between design engineering and materials teams, ensuring smooth communication and material readiness
- Coordinate with NPDi project manager, Design Engineering, and Procurement teams throughout the project
- Act as the primary escalation point for potential conflicts to protect customer commitments
- Build and sustain strong, trust-based relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate effective meetings, presentations, and regular project communications
- Proactively monitor project timelines and identify potential bottlenecks, data gaps, or process inefficiencies before they impact delivery.
- Support process improvements and system optimization initiatives
Project Monitoring & Risk Management
- Track and report on project KPIs, quality metrics, schedule adherence, and cost performance
- Document meeting notes, action items, and follow through to completion
- Identify project risks early and develop proactive mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
- Monitor critical path activities and ensure team coordination to prevent timeline slippage
- Escalate issues appropriately and implement both short-term and long-term solutions
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus
Experience
- 3–5 years total professional experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or engineering environments
- 2-3 years project management experience with demonstrated ability to oversee manufacturing and supply chain initiatives across multiple regions
- 2–3 years engineering experience with understanding of product design, BOMs, and manufacturing processes
Communication Skills
- Proven ability to conduct effective meetings, deliver presentations, and communicate across all organizational levels
Collaboration
- Demonstrated success working in matrixed, cross-functional team environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience managing New Product Development & Introduction (NPDi) projects from concept through production launch.
- Demonstrated background in large-scale, multi-disciplinary program management with the ability to drive complex initiatives across global teams.
- Track record of leading projects with a strong emphasis on material readiness, availability planning, and supply chain coordination
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems with material procurement understanding
- Familiarity with critical infrastructure and data center solutions (power systems, thermal management, battery technology, monitoring systems)
- Comprehensive understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes, with particular depth in data center infrastructure design, build, and deployment.
