As an Automation QA Playwright Manager, you will lead the charge in implementing quality engineering practices within our Software and Product Innovation group. Your role will involve developing cutting-edge software solutions and driving product innovation to meet the evolving needs of clients. As a Manager, you will enhance your leadership style by motivating, developing, and inspiring others to deliver quality. You will be responsible for coaching, leveraging team members' unique strengths, and managing performance to deliver on client expectations. You are expected to lead with integrity and authenticity, articulating our purpose and values in a meaningful way.
In this role at PwC Acceleration Center India, you will focus on implementing leading practice standards of quality in software development and testing processes. You will use your experience to identify and resolve defects, optimize performance, and enhance user experience. Within our Advisory practice, you will play an important role in identifying opportunities that contribute to the success of our firm. Responsibilities
- Leading quality engineering initiatives to enhance software development and testing processes.
- Partnering closely with engineering teams to define automation strategy, build reusable frameworks, mentor teams, and drive AI-enabled quality practices across the Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC), including requirements analysis, test design, automated test generation, execution, defect analysis, regression analysis, and reporting.
- Implementing innovative software solutions to meet evolving client needs
Identifying and resolving defects to optimize software performance and user experience
- Guiding teams in the strategic planning and execution of quality assurance project
- Utilizing technical skills in software testing and quality engineering to drive product innovation
- Developing and maintaining standards of quality in software development
- Collaborating with team leadership to validate project timelines and deliverables
- Mentoring team members to develop their skills and encourage professional growth
- Analyzing system components to identify linkages and interactions for improved functionality
- Addressing conflicts and engaging in critical conversations with stakeholders to maintain project alignment
What You Must Have
- 8+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Test Automation, or SDET roles, including technical leadership or team management.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright, Playwright MCP, or similar modern automation frameworks.
- Proficiency in Python and at least one additional language (TypeScript, JavaScript, C#, Java, or Go).
- Experience designing and maintaining UI, API, integration, and end-to-end automation frameworks.
- Strong understanding of STLC, modern Quality Engineering practices, CI/CD, and DevOps.
- Experience leading automation initiatives, mentoring engineers, and establishing engineering best practices.
- Strong analytical, debugging, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
What Sets You Apart
- Experience testing LLM-powered applications, AI agents, copilots, and RAG-based solutions.
- Experience with Autonomous Testing Agents, AI-driven testing workflows, or agentic software delivery.
- Hands-on exposure to Cursor, GitHub Copilot, GitHub Remote Agents, Claude Code, or similar AI-assisted development tools.
- Familiarity with Azure AI Evaluations, DeepEval, LangSmith, OpenAI Evals, or similar AI quality assessment frameworks.
- Knowledge of Specification-Driven Development (SDD), AI-powered Quality Engineering, and human-in-the-loop governance.
- Experience with Azure, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and cloud-native application development.
