We are looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst - Developer to join our Business Solutions & Application Development team in Singapore. The role combines strong business analysis and software development capabilities and will work closely with business users, regional and global IT team, and external vendors to delivery and support technology solutions for the Bank.
The Business Solution & Application Development (BSAD) team bridge the gap between complex operations and technology. Our responsibility is to design, build, maintain and support software applications that enable bank’s business units to function efficiently, securely and in compliance with regulations. Reporting to the local Head of BSAD, you will play a key part implementing, supporting and enhancing vendor built applications delivered by head office. Working closely with business users, Head Office IT teams and application vendors, you will help ensure the effective deployment, adoption and ongoing support of enterprise platforms across the Bank.
Main Responsibilities
- Act as primary point of contact for business users on application incidents, service requests, and enhancements
- Gather business/regulatory requirements from users and translate them into IT solutions, including mockups, demos, and workshops to validate acceptance
- Perform system analysis, design, and development; plan and support testing to ensure correctness, reliability, and business continuity
- Deliver solutions within agreed timeline, cost, and requirement parameters
- Develop and maintain application frameworks/infrastructure to support current and future delivery
- Investigate and troubleshoot incidents, and support upgrades, releases, and maintenance to minimize business disruption
- Partner with departments to identify automation opportunities that improve workflows, productivity, and risk management
- Maintain application documentation, support guides, knowledge repositories, and accurate records of incidents/changes
- Ensure processes align with regulatory, security, and operational risk requirements; support audits, compliance, and risk assessments
Skills & Experience required
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in business analysis, applicaton development and/or software engineering, preferably within banking or financial services.
- Experience with Excel VBA, able to develop, debug and optimize advanced macros and Add-ins and built applications that generates complex reports
- Strong in database design and development. Able to write, debug complex MS T-SQL stored procedures, user-defined functions, triggers, views and implement performance tuning in SQL
- Proven track record of designing, building, and deploying production RESTful APIs using Python frameworks. Understanding of HTTP standards, status codes, and microservice communication patterns
- Experience developing distributed ETL pipelines using PySpark on the Databricks unified analytics platform
- Strong appetite to use agentic AI engineering to develop software (Claude code or equivalent)
- Experience in a technology stack that can be used to develop a modern front-end reporting system (e.g. PowerIB/React/Vue) would be a plus
- Understanding of CI/CD platforms, tools and processes
- Demonstrated ability to produce rigorous, clear, and comprehensive documentation and procedures.

- T24 (Temenos)
- Banking regulations in Singapore or Hong Kong particularly in client suitability and risk in the context of private banking
- Credit Risk Engine software development (e.g. Lombard, margin and shortfall automations, simulations)
- Developed trading software for complex financial products (e.g. Options, FX swaps, AQ/DQ Tarf)
- Software integration experience to platforms such as ULLINK, Bloomberg or Refinitive API
