Sprinklers save lives. You'll run the projects that make sure they work.
This is a role where the ownership is real. From day one, you'll take a project from inception to handover and make the calls handling budget, resource, risk, quality, safety. You’ll lead, and you're backed to do it.
Compco is the UK's leading provider of automatic fire suppression systems and the reason clients trust us is our collaborative team that delivers, project after project. Every system we install must work, first time, every time.
If you're a Project Manager who wants that kind of responsibility, who wants to see a job through from first site visit to final commissioning, we want you leading it.
What you'll be doing
- Leading projects end-to-end, scope, programme, budget, quality, safety
- Building the plans, schedules and resourcing that keep everything on track
- Owning relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors
- Getting on site, monitoring progress, catching problems early, fixing them faster
- Controlling the money, forecasting, budget, commercial performance
- Managing risk before it becomes a crisis
- Leading your subcontractors, consultants and site teams
- Reporting up with clear, confident updates
- Driving continuous improvement, lessons learned, best practice
What you bring
- Solid project management experience in construction or engineering (sprinkler/fire-protection experience is advantageous, not essential)
- Working knowledge of CDM Regulations and site H&S management
- Confidence with project management software and Microsoft Office
- Sharp commercial awareness. You know what a budget means
- The ability to stay organised and level-headed under pressure
- Strong communication. You can talk to a client and a site team in the same afternoon
- Full UK driving licence
- SMSTS/SSSTS, NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management (or equivalent), CSCS Card
Bonus points for: experience in the sprinkler industry, and knowledge of LPC standards, but you'll get mentoring, training and development support from your line manager and director.
If you want a role where you run projects that matter, get backed to grow and walk away with skills and relationships that mean something, we want to hear from you.
