Johnson Controls is looking for a Project Manager in Industrial Refrigeration who can lead projects from planning to handover. You manage timelines, stakeholders, and customer communication to ensure smooth execution. You also take full responsibility for the engineering design—developing the system concept, layout, and technical requirements of the refrigeration plant.   

.Key Responsibilities 

  • Plan and manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and deliverables from project initiation to close-out. 
  • Serve as the primary customer contact and translate customer needs into project plans and solutions. 
  • Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers. 
  • Manage procurement activities, including material selection, ordering, and cost tracking. 
  • Develop system concepts, layouts, and detailed designs for industrial refrigeration plants. 
  • Prepare engineering calculations, schematics, and component specifications. 
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety requirements, and internal guidelines. 
  • Provide technical support to service department during installation and commissioning. 

Qualifications 

  • Completed technical apprenticeship or technical degree  
  • Project management experience or strong coordination skills. 
  • Experience with industrial refrigeration systems (NH₃, CO₂, Freon) is an advantage. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel. 
  • Clear and confident communication across all levels. 
  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to work independently. 
  • Able to take full ownership of engineering design from concept to implementation 
  • Capable of evaluating components, sizing equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards 
  • Languages: English or German required; French is an advantage.
