WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
As a Project Manager at nVent Management Company, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our projects are accomplished flawlessly and on schedule. You can expect to:
- Ensure the project is delivered in accordance with the Contract/PO and specifications.
- Establish and manage project schedules with customers and within nVent to meet deadlines.
- Identify, negotiate, and manage change orders, acquiring necessary approvals before initiation.
- Analyze project revenue, cost, and profitability, including material and labor costs.
- Update achievement billing reports and ensure accurate invoices are sent promptly.
- Serve as the primary customer contact throughout the project lifecycle, acting as a liaison between multiple departments.
- Review customer specifications, project quotes, and purchase orders for accuracy.
- Lead internal and external project kickoff meetings, build reviews, and status updates.
- Identify and communicate issues and risks early, driving resolutions to keep projects on track.
- Coordinate customer visits, ensuring smooth logistics for inspections, testing, and meetings.
- Promote nVent with existing customers for potential additional sales opportunities!
- Adhere to nVent safety and quality standards to ensure both nVent and customer requirements are met.
YOU HAVE:
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred, or at least 5 years' experience in industrial manufacturing, engineering, construction, or other related industry fields.
- PMP Certification preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using Excel, Microsoft Project (or similar scheduling software), and ERP systems such as JDE, Oracle, or SAP.
- Experience working with customers on long-term projects.
- Experience with industrial electrical systems and the ability to interpret and construct according to various specifications.
- Strong time management and complex problem-solving skills.
- Proven negotiation abilities and capacity to manage several projects at once.
- The skill to interact efficiently with diverse groups across a global commercial context.
- A proactive approach to learning and applying new technologies and industry standards.
