We’re looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Technical Support Engineer to identify, diagnose and resolve customers issues. The Technical Support Engineer will be a part of PlainID’s Professional Services team.

Job Description

  • Taking ownership of customer issues reported by customers and prioritizing them based on urgency and importance
  • Researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting issues and identifying solutions to resolve system issues
  • Coordinating support case resolution with the appropriate internal teams: Sales, Professional Services, Product
  • Following standard procedures for proper escalation of critical or unresolved issues

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in Technical Support, Tier 2 Support, Technical Services, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or containerized environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to independently investigate complex technical issues.
  • Good understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, JSON, and web-based applications.
  • Hands-on experience working with Linux systems and application logs.
  • Good understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, ports, certificates, proxies, and load balancers.
  • Experience working with relational databases and SQL.
  • Ability to reproduce technical issues and clearly document findings and steps to reproduce.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong ownership mindset and the ability to work directly with enterprise customers and cross-functional engineering teams.

Nice to have

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Familiarity with authentication and authorization technologies such as OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, SAML, IAM, or access management.
