Senior Product Manager, Digital Assets

We are looking for a Senior Customer Journey Expert, Digital Assets to join our international team in Amsterdam.

This role combines product management, delivery leadership, payments expertise and business analysis. You will help shape and deliver digital asset capabilities that enable new forms of payments, settlement, liquidity management and treasury services for ING's internal businesses and clients.

You will work closely with Product Managers, architects, engineers, operations, risk, compliance and business stakeholders across ING to translate digital asset opportunities into scalable banking capabilities and production-ready services.

The Team:

Payments & Settlement Services (PSS) is at the heart of ING's payment, liquidity and settlement infrastructure. We provide safe, secure, compliant and reliable services that support ING's Wholesale Banking, Retail Banking and Financial Markets businesses globally.

As part of ING's Digital Asset Strategy, PSS is building the next generation of payment and settlement capabilities to support tokenised forms of money, including stablecoins, tokenised deposits, and future digital settlement solutions. We are establishing the foundational infrastructure required to connect traditional banking services with emerging digital asset ecosystems while maintaining ING's standards for resilience, control, security and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Customer Journey Expert, Digital Assets, you will drive the analysis, design and delivery of digital asset, tokenisation and distributed financial infrastructure capabilities within ING.

You will be responsible for translating business opportunities and market developments into concrete product requirements, operational processes and technology solutions. Acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and engineering teams, you will ensure solutions are commercially relevant, operationally sound and aligned with ING's risk and control framework.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to one of ING's strategic growth areas and help define how digital money and tokenised assets integrate into the future of banking.

• Deliver digital asset payment, settlement and liquidity capabilities, including stablecoins, tokenised deposits and blockchain-enabled payment solutions.
• Translate business requirements into product features, user stories and solution designs, bridging business stakeholders and engineering teams.
• Define end-to-end operating models, payment flows, booking models and settlement processes.
• Drive backlog prioritisation, feature refinement and Agile delivery execution.
• Coordinate stakeholders across business, operations, architecture, engineering, risk and compliance functions.
• Support testing, implementation and operational readiness activities.
• Partner with Risk and Compliance teams to ensure solutions comply with ING governance, security, risk and regulatory requirements.
• Act as the primary product subject matter expert for payment and tokenized deposit use cases and activation within Digital Asset.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are seeking an experienced product professional with a strong background in payments, settlement infrastructure, and digital assets, who can lead complex initiatives and translate strategy into execution.

Requirements

• 10+ years' experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, Payments, Financial Market Infrastructure, FinTech, or Digital Assets.
• Proven track record delivering complex business and technology programmes in a regulated financial environment.
• Strong knowledge of at least two of: cross-border payments, correspondent banking, clearing & settlement, SWIFT/real-time payments, or financial market infrastructures.
• Understanding of blockchain, stablecoins, tokenised deposits, wholesale CBDCs, smart contracts, custody, wallet infrastructure, and digital asset settlement models.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred

• Hands-on experience with stablecoins, tokenised deposits, tokenised cash, or blockchain-based payments.
• Familiarity with European digital asset and payment regulations.
