Position Overview
The role of Senior Project Manager is to implement project controls; ensuring project completion is on time and within budget in a manner that is compliant with contract as well as corporate policies and procedures. Additionally, the Sr. Project Manager is the primary contact of the project team and company. The Sr. Project Manager will oversee and direct the project and communicate directly with all project staff, consultants, and clients. Sr. Project Managers should strive to create, maintain, and develop professional relationships with clients, architects, engineers, as well as subcontractors ensuring client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate subcontracts and purchase agreements with vendors to reach profitable agreements along with writing and distributing accurate scopes of work.
- Monitor on-site processes, procedures, and systems for compliance with construction drawings, safety requirements, and code compliance.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and quality control measures.
- Manage construction budget/forecast regularly and complete monthly WIP projections
- Prepare, submit and negotiate change orders with owner per contractual requirements
- Review, verify and approve subcontractor and vendor payments
- Coordinate punch list(s) with jurisdictions, Operations Manager, and owner and ensure timely completion of items on the list to result in signed Certificate of Completion/Certificate of Substantial Completion and Certificate of Occupancy
- Ensure the completion of closeout package and final payment application and distributed to client
- Assist with warranty/service/close-out related items as applicable
- Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Identify potential risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience.
- 5-10 years of experience in commercial construction project management.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project).
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a results-driven mindset.
