Responsibilities

ECS Limited is offering a unique opportunity for a talented Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Staff Project Manager II to join our Orlando field services team and advance in a dynamic work environment. The Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Staff Project Manager II supports construction materials testing projects through technical analysis, reporting, and project coordination activities with increasing independence. This role contributes to project execution across the lifecycle, including budgeting, documentation, and client interaction. The CMT Staff Project Manager II continues to develop technical, consulting, and project management skills while maintaining a positive customer service attitude and demonstrating ECS Core Values.

Responsibilities

  • Supports management of construction materials testing projects, including daily report review and assisting with issue resolution
  • Manages project budgets, prepares invoices, pay applications, and supports collection efforts
  • Prepares proposals and change orders for CMT projects
  • Performs or supports laboratory testing, soil classification, and materials evaluation
  • Supports and performs testing of soils, foundations, reinforced and post-tensioned concrete, masonry, structural steel, fireproofing, and asphalt
  • Reviews field reports and ensures accuracy and timeliness of documentation
  • Assists with training and coordination of field staff on assigned projects
  • Performs project-related tasks across the lifecycle, including proposal, execution, and closeout activities
  • Communicates with project teams, contractors, and clients
  • Supports delivery of low-complexity projects with increasing independence
  • Performs other technical and project coordination tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 1 year of related experience
  • Bachelor of Science in any of the multi-disciplined Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Materials Science Engineering, Architectural Engineering, and Geology
  • A professional license is not required in this position, but it is necessary to progress in your career
  • If driving for or on behalf of any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
  • Basic knowledge of CMT principles and applications
  • Basic knowledge of ASTM standards and testing procedures
  • Ability to work effectively with teams, clients, and supervisors
  • Developing project management and organizational skills
  • Basic business development and client relationship skills
  • Limited but growing decision-making ability
