Pepper is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our growing Corporate Accounting team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial success of a dynamic organization by supporting accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis across multiple operating entities.

The ideal candidate is analytical, collaborative, and eager to partner with both finance and operational teams to deliver accurate financial information and meaningful business insights.

This position is on site in our Barrington, IL location with one day remote.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reports, including analysis and commentary on financial performance.
  • Analyze and process accounting transactions and job costs in accordance with accounting standards, company policies, and internal controls.
  • Perform account reconciliations, prepare journal entries, and maintain the accuracy of the general ledger.
  • Conduct budget-to-actual and variance analysis, providing insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
  • Partner with project managers and operational teams to ensure accurate cost tracking, reporting, and financial performance monitoring.
  • Support the continuous improvement of financial processes, internal controls, and reporting efficiencies.
  • Assist with year-end audit activities, special projects, and other financial analysis initiatives as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA certification preferred
  • 2+ years of accounting, financial analysis, or related professional experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and recommend effective solutions
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly and effectively to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with accounting and financial systems
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong working relationships across finance, operations, and project teams

The annual salary midpoint for this role is $92,000. We consider many factors when determining the actual hiring salary. These factors may include location, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, internal equity, and market demands.
