Company Description
Te Tākinatanga | Our Story
At Contact, we believe home is the most important place in the world. That belief shapes everything we do, from leading the energy transition to how we power Aotearoa and care for our people and communities.
We’re a power, broadband, and mobile company, but we’re also investing boldly in renewable energy and smarter, more connected ways of working (mahi). Our ambition is simple: to leave Aotearoa better than we found it.
Guided by our values & behaviours, we’re a team who care deeply about the work we do, how we support one another, and the impact we have. Simply put, we touch lives to make life better.
Right now, we're investing in one of the most significant customer transformation programmes in our business. This programme will help us evolve from a collection of products and systems into a connected, multi-product experience that makes life simpler for our customers.
That's where this role comes in.
As our Senior Business Analyst, you'll play a critical role in shaping how that future takes form. You'll help turn strategy into reality by bringing together customer needs, business priorities, and technical delivery into a clear path forward. Your work will influence how customers experience Contact across electricity, broadband, mobile and future products, helping us deliver a more seamless and connected future.
Job Description
Te Whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
This is more than a traditional Business Analyst role. You'll be joining a complex, high-profile transformation programme at a pivotal stage, helping define what good looks like before solutions are built and customer experiences are redesigned.
Working across business, technology and delivery partners, you'll be trusted to bring clarity to complexity, lead analysis activities across multiple workstreams, and ensure Contact retains ownership of key decisions that will shape the future of our retail business.
In this role you'll:
- Lead the discovery, analysis and definition of requirements for a strategically important transformation programme
- Translate complex business needs into outcomes that can be understood and delivered by technical teams
- Partner with senior stakeholders across retail, technology, architecture and delivery functions to align priorities and drive progress
- Provide leadership and oversight across analysis activities, helping ensure high-quality outputs and consistent ways of working
- Take ownership of requirements, prioritisation decisions and documentation standards across key programme workstreams
- Influence future-state customer journeys, operating models, processes and platform capabilities
- Help shape solutions that support Contact's multi-product future across electricity, broadband, mobile and future services
- Contribute to the growth of the Business Analysis Chapter through knowledge sharing, collaboration and chapter involvement
You'll be joining a Business Analysis chapter of experienced practitioners who value openness, transparency, learning and supporting one another to do great work.
