Full description

A quick note about the role: Since 2026, Xplicity has been part of the Present Connection group, bringing our teams and technology communities closer together and creating more opportunities for talented professionals across both companies. Although this opportunity is shared through the Xplicity community, the position is with Present Connection, and the successful candidate will join the Present Connection team.

Present Connection is an international technology partner with offices in Lithuania, the Netherlands, and Spain. For more than 14 years, we have worked with companies across Europe, combining software engineering expertise with a strong understanding of business and technology. We bring together experienced technology specialists with a drive to experiment, explore new possibilities, and find better ways forward. We believe technology is more than something businesses use. It can change how they work, grow, and compete. That's why we work alongside our clients to challenge existing ways of working and build solutions that move their business forward.

The Opportunity

We're kicking off a new chapter in our quality assurance journey and are looking for a QA Engineer who wants to grow into a leading role in our QA practice. This is a hands-on role with a leadership side: you'll work as a QA engineer in your own project, and at the same time help shape and elevate the QA discipline across the company. You will work closely with our existing QA professionals, who are part of different client teams, and support their technical growth, alignment, and collaboration.

Why this role matters: While each of our QA engineers works in a unique context, we believe it's time to connect the dots and build a cohesive, forward-thinking QA community within Present Connection. You'll be the spark that helps start that movement, combining hands-on technical expertise with the ability to bring people together.

What You Will Do

  • Work hands-on as a QA Engineer: take part in testing, help define test strategies and set an example of quality in practice.
  • Share your expertise and mentor QA engineers working in separate client teams.
  • Help establish and promote QA best practices, tools and processes that can be shared across projects.
  • Evaluate and introduce new technologies and testing strategies to improve our quality standards.
  • Collaborate with developers, team leads and management to ensure quality is built in, not just tested later.
  • Support hiring, onboarding and development of new QA team members as we grow.
  • Take part in the selection of QA interns and mentor them during their internship.
  • Take part in new client onboarding from the QA perspective: define initial quality assurance needs, clarify testing scope, advise on test environments and tooling, and align expectations for QA involvement from the start of the project.
  • Initiate company-wide QA initiatives (e.g., internal knowledge sharing, testing frameworks, automation strategies).

What We Expect

  • At least 3 years of experience in QA, with a strong technical background and an interest in driving quality initiatives.
  • Experience with process improvements.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD and test management tools.
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies and SDLC/STLC.
  • Fundamental knowledge of JavaScript core.
  • Ability to implement a test automation framework, including behavior-driven testing.
  • Teamwork orientation, proactiveness and focus on quality.
  • Excellent communication skills and a wish to share knowledge and mentor others.
  • Great English language skills (written and verbal).

Its a plus if you

  • Have experience with TypeScript
  • Have participated in pre-sale activities
  • Have mentored colleagues or led QA initiatives (formal leadership experience is not required)

What We Offer

  • Gain knowledge in a company with more than ten years of experience in IT sector working with high – performing development teams
  • You decide work model – hybrid work and flexible work hours
  • Yearly training budget – get access to world's largest education site and attend internal trainings, workshops
  • Most flexible health insurance policy with compensation for sports activities, recreation, etc.
  • Regular performance reviews and transparent remuneration system
  • Performance evaluation system with clear skill evaluation
  • Referral program
  • Mentoring program for your knowledge expansion and experience
  • Events with guest speakers and meetups for learning and know-how sharing
  • Quarterly team building events
  • Community that inspires – participate in our sports challenges – running, walking, cycling, table tennis
  • Regular events and parties
  • Gifts on birthdays, weddings or childbirth occasions
  • Office with great location and free parking, Friday lunches, healthy snacks and celebrations
