As Sales Product Manager Poultry, you play a key role in supporting and guiding our sales teams worldwide. You act as a specialist in specific product-market combinations (PMCs) within your area of expertise — Digital Applications — ensuring customers receive the right solutions for their production needs.
You collaborate closely with Area Sales Managers, Account Managers, and back-office teams to identify opportunities, shape proposals, and position JBT Marel’s solutions competitively in the market.
In this specialist role, you contribute to strengthen and expanding our digital application offering —enabling intelligent machines, solutions, and services—which a strategic priority within the Poultry portfolio. Our portfolio of poultry-specific digital applications plays a critical role in delivering integrated, data-driven solutions to our customers. As our digital footprint continues to expand, we are seeing an increase in both the complexity and volume of customer inquiries, driven by market demands and regulatory frameworks such as the NIS2 and CRA directive. As a Digital Product Specialist, you play a pivotal role in addressing these challenges by shaping the Poultry Digital Roadmap, maximizing product potential, identifying market opportunities, and strengthening the value proposition across regions, while ensuring alignment with competitive and regulatory developments. Within Digital Applications, we focus on the integration of data, software, and operational processes across our industry. In this role, you will act as a key bridge between technology and business, translating technical capabilities into clear commercial value and market-driven solutions.
In this role, you will:
- Provide sales teams with in-depth product and market knowledge within your field of specialization.
- Challenge and support Area Sales Managers to identify and capture new business opportunities.
- Spot potential for new or improved PMCs and act as the link between Sales and Innovation.
- Collect and analyze market, product, and competitor insights to strengthen our customer value proposition.
- Build and maintain strong internal and external networks — including R&D, Engineering, and Technology specialists.
- Visit customers regularly (approx. 35% travel) and contribute to exhibitions, demos, and industry events.
About you You combine commercial awareness with technical curiosity and an interest for the food (and poultry) industry. You feel at home with sales and product management of digital solutions in a B2B environment. You thrive in a dynamic, international setting and enjoy bridging the gap between technology and customer value.
Your profile:
- MSc / BSc in Industrial or Mechatronic Engineering, Business Information, (Technical) Informatica or similar
- 3–5 years’ experience in Product Management, Product Sales, or Technical Sales within capital equipment or industrial solutions.
- Strong affinity with digitalization, software solutions, and data-driven services within an industrial environment
- Proven ability to bridge business needs and technical capabilities, ideally in a product management, product ownership, or solution specialist role
- Understanding of or interest in regulatory developments (e.g. cybersecurity, data compliance such as NIS2)
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems is strongly preferred
- Analytical mindset with a holistic business perspective.
- Proactive, curious, and customer-focused, with strong communication and influencing skills.
- Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Willingness to travel up to 35% internationally.
