We are Simply Labs, an all-in-one blockchain team comprising datacenter specialists, DevOps professionals and software engineers. Our expertise lies in building infrastructure tooling and blockchains, as well as operating blockchain infrastructure across multiple networks. All of our infrastructure runs on self-hosted or co-located servers, without any utilisation of cloud services, with our main headquarters located in Malta.

 

The Role

The Blockchain DevOps Engineer will form part of the Staking team. You will be primarily responsible for maintaining our blockchain infrastructure. Our network is ever expanding and automation is key. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in deploying, automating, managing and optimising our blockchain infrastructure and applications. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is eager to make significant contributions to the blockchain space and work on cutting-edge technologies.

 

We operate as a remote-friendly organisation, embracing a collaborative work culture that accommodates individuals working from various locations. While we value the flexibility of remote work, the selected candidate for this position is preferably based in Malta.

 

What will you be doing?

• Maintaining internal and external documentation, as required.

• Implement scalable and secure blockchain infrastructure.

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for blockchain applications.

• Collaborate with teams to develop innovative blockchain solutions.

• Monitor and maintain blockchain networks and nodes to ensure optimal performance, while being part of the team’s on-call rotation.

• Troubleshoot and resolve blockchain infrastructure issues.

• Keep abreast of new technologies and methodologies in the blockchain space.

• Contribute to system architecture and design decisions.

• Develop infrastructure-as-code scripts for resource provisioning, configuration, and change management.

• The selected candidate will get on-the-job training to learn about the different blockchain technologies and how nodes are operated.

 

The ideal candidate would possess:

• Ideally possess a technical degree including computer science or engineering;

• Background in Linux administration.

• Has a genuine interest in crypto.

• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
