About LawConnect

When people face a legal problem, most don’t know where to start. LawConnect exists to change that - helping everyone understand their situation, build confidence, and find the right legal help when it matters most.

We’re redefining how consumers get legal help by combining AI with our leading lawyer marketplace. Backed by one of the largest legal software companies globally, we bring the stability and resources of an established business with the speed and ambition of a well-funded startup.

This is an environment built around innovation, experimentation, and moving quickly. Small team, real momentum, and a global ambition. You’ll work alongside talented people who care deeply about making legal help accessible to everyone.

What you’ll do

You'll join a product team that already has a PM on the consumer side and a PM on the lawyer side, who work closely together. Your focus is the marketplace as a whole – the problems that sit between the two sides, the bigger bets that need one person to carry from idea to result, and how the marketplace makes money. In practice that means picking up hard, cross-cutting problems: why jobs go unclaimed, what happens after a job is posted, how we price it, and how we make sure the right lawyers are there when consumers need them. You decide what's worth building, size it, write the brief, and drive it through design and engineering until it ships and we can measure it.

Our Growth team owns how people find us; the product team owns what happens once they arrive – and there's still plenty of headroom between someone posting a legal problem and a lawyer signing them as a client. You'll work directly with the other PMs, our leadership team, engineering and design, getting involved early to decide what we build and why, then seeing it through to a shipped, measured result.

To make this happen you will:

  • Map the end-to-end journey of someone in a moment of legal need, and of the lawyer who serves them. Spot the friction, the gaps and the opportunities on both sides.
  • Find and size opportunities. Take a signal in the data, a customer conversation, or your own hypothesis, and put a defensible number on it. What is it worth, how confident are we, and what will it cost to find out.
  • Shape the roadmap. Bring a whole-of-marketplace view to prioritisation, working with the other PMs and leadership. Defend your ranking with reasoning rather than preference, and say no to good ideas that are not worth the slot.
  • Write the brief. Turn ambiguous product problems into a clear problem statement, a success measure and a spec that design and engineering can run with.
  • Ship with engineering and design. Get it into the backlog, unblock it, and see it live. This is where most of your week will go.
  • Talk to customers. Speak to consumers who have used the product and lawyers who claim the work. Watch sessions. Bring real behaviour into the roadmap rather than inferring it from dashboards.
  • Prove what worked. Design experiments that give real answers, read them honestly including the ones that failed, and feed the result back into the next round of prioritisation.
  • Raise the bar together. Share what you know about sizing, specs and experiments, and learn what the other PMs know about our consumers and lawyers.
  • Work closely with the other PMs, engineering, design, legal/content, sales and the Growth team, communicating progress, blockers and next steps without being asked.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience as a Senior, Lead or Principal Product Manager, ideally on a consumer product or a two-sided marketplace.
  • A track record of owning a product area end to end: finding the problem, sizing it, shipping the fix, and showing it worked.
  • Experience building and defending a prioritised roadmap with a stated impact model behind it.
  • A track record of shipping with engineering teams. Clear specs, a real understanding of technical constraint, and developers who would happily work with you again.
  • Direct experience talking to and testing with customers.
  • Comfort working alongside other PMs on a shared product. You do not need to own everything to get things done.
  • Confidence with SQL and a BI tool, and the ability to build an estimate from first principles. There is no analyst sitting between you and the data.
  • Comfort shipping AI features and using AI tools in your own work.

Even better if you have

  • Two-sided marketplace experience. Supply constraints, liquidity, matching, and the discipline of not acquiring demand you cannot service.
  • Pricing or monetisation experience. You have set prices, designed a credit or subscription model, or owned how a product makes money.
  • Consumer products involving high-consideration, emotionally loaded, infrequent decisions such as legal, health, finance or insurance.
  • Experience shipping products built on LLMs.
  • Early-stage or scale-up experience, and comfort with imperfect data and unfinished infrastructure.

You are the type of person who

  • Asks why before you ask how.
  • Wants to own the outcome, not manage the backlog.
  • Gets uncomfortable shipping something you cannot measure, or that no customer has seen.
  • Reads the data and talks to customers, and trusts neither on its own.
  • Cares more about the marketplace working than about which lane is yours.
  • Is energised by how fast AI is changing software, not intimidated by it.
