About the Role
AAE is seeking a temporary, full-time Business Analyst I to support priority initiatives across fundraising systems and operations. The Business Analyst will partner with stakeholders to gather and document requirements, analyze and improve business processes, and support project coordination and delivery within a complex CRM environment. This role will contribute to work such as CRM enhancements and integrations, online giving and annual giving operational support, data quality and de-duplication initiatives, and reporting/analysis to improve decision-making and service delivery. The successful candidate is proactive, highly organized, and able to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable documentation while working across multiple concurrent priorities.
The ideal candidate is an experienced Business Analyst who can hit the ground running in a complex, fast-paced project environment. They excel at requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, business process analysis, and coordinating deliverables across cross-functional teams. They bring experience supporting CRM enhancements and/or system integrations, and are comfortable working with data to support reporting, data quality, and de-duplication initiatives. The successful candidate is proactive, adaptable, and skilled at communicating complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, while managing multiple concurrent priorities with minimal supervision.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computing Science or Business Administration, with four years of related business analysis experience enterprise information systems in a large, complex, environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Excellent knowledge of fundraising constituent record management (CRM) systems.
- Excellent knowledge of enterprise information systems and CRM platforms (e.g., Blackbaud Enterprise CRM).
- Excellent knowledge of business process design and analysis.
- Excellent knowledge of software design, database applications for standard business processes, and data analysis.
- Excellent knowledge of SQL query language and report writing tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI).
- Working knowledge of fundraising operations and donor and alumni engagement workflows to inform system support and configuration decisions.
