Benefits
Full description
Tryzens is an international digital commerce agency. Our mission is to accelerate client success and growth across all channels, leveraging our expertise, insights, and digital-first principles to deliver compelling experiences that delight and engage customers.
We started in London and have since expanded operations to Melbourne, Sydney, Sofia, and Trivandrum, with 200+ team members serving 45+ international brands.
We're looking for a full-time Project Manager to project manage multiple clients' roadmaps, drive our clients' business goals, and lead innovation in Australia's ecommerce industry. You'll use a variety of delivery methodologies (Agile, SAFe, Hybrid, Waterfall) to manage multiple development teams located internationally, and will be responsible for delivering new-build ecommerce projects from discovery through to go-live.
You will be our client's main point of contact, working closely with our Heads of Delivery and Client Success Director to ensure Tryzens provides a high level of service and delivers high-quality projects on time and to budget.
Our clients are our partners, and we pride ourselves on the strong relationships we build with each one — with the Project Manager playing an integral role in that partnership.
What You'll Do Project Management
- Work with Tryzens internal teams and clients to build client optimisation roadmaps.
- Work with clients and Tryzens practices to ensure roadmap stories and requirements are technically sufficient, including facilitating discovery workshops.
- Project manage client optimisation roadmaps, including creating project timelines, risks, dependencies, and commercial approvals, and delivering items prioritised by the client in an ongoing sprint model.
- Plan and book project resources to deliver all delivery items in line with project release plans.
- Facilitate all project meetings focused on status reporting, problem resolution, and feedback.
- Manage offshore project delivery teams, ensuring collaboration and clear communication between team members.
- Work with third parties on risks and dependencies to projects and sprints.
- Provide weekly project/sprint status, financial, and schedule reporting to stakeholders.
- Deliver all releases to budget and within agreed timelines.
- Create and communicate release schedules.
Client Engagement
- Take ownership of all direct communication with the client and resolve escalations with autonomy within the scope of our service offering.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external colleagues to build a first-class customer relationship, with the goal of making every client a lifelong client.
- Identify risks that threaten client satisfaction or renewal, and execute mitigation plans.
- Work closely with the Client Success team to identify and develop new opportunities within existing accounts, ensuring client growth and satisfaction.
- Conduct regular reviews with clients on services delivered.
- Listen carefully to clients and truly understand their key business issues and opportunities in order to deliver business-impacting results.
- Build strong, transparent, trust-based relationships with clients.
In-Life Services
- Work with the support team to ensure all incidents are resolved within SLA, and that monitoring is in place and set up correctly.
- Maintain an active Continual Service Improvement (CSI) programme to establish root causes of problems and fix these through ongoing roadmap delivery releases.
- Maintain day-to-day accountability for the ownership and resolution — including escalation where necessary — of service issues.
- Ensure all effort is reported accurately and billed in line with client contracts.
Essential Experience
- 4+ years' experience as a Project Manager delivering ecommerce, digital commerce, or web platform projects (experience with platforms such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Shopify Plus, Adobe Commerce/Magento, SAP Commerce, or commercetools highly regarded).
- Proven experience managing new-build ecommerce projects end-to-end, from discovery and requirements definition through to go-live and hypercare.
- Demonstrated experience running multiple concurrent client engagements and roadmaps, rather than a single large programme.
- Experience working within an agency, consultancy, or professional services model.
Delivery Methodology
- Proven experience working across multiple delivery models — Scrum, SAFe, Hybrid, and Waterfall — with the judgement to select and adapt the right model per client and engagement.
- Comfortable running an ongoing sprint-based roadmap model for existing clients, while managing structured, milestone-driven delivery for new builds.
- Experience with sprint ceremonies, release planning, backlog prioritisation, and translating client-prioritised items into deliverable sprint plans.
Stakeholder & Client Management
- Excellent, clear, and concise communication skills, with the credibility to act as the primary point of contact for AU clients at a senior, commercial level.
- Demonstrated experience managing challenging or demanding stakeholders, including de-escalating issues and resolving client escalations autonomously within agreed service boundaries.
- Experience facilitating discovery workshops and translating business requirements into technically sufficient user stories in partnership with technical practices.
- A track record of building trust-based, long-term client relationships, with the commercial awareness to spot account growth opportunities alongside a Client Success function.
- Confidence presenting weekly status, financial, and schedule reporting to both clients and internal senior stakeholders.
Team & Delivery Management
- Experience managing offshore or distributed development teams, with strong cross-timezone communication practices.
- Experience with resource planning and booking against release plans, matching team capacity to committed roadmap items.
- Ability to identify, manage, and mitigate risks and dependencies, including third-party dependencies outside of Tryzens' direct control.
- Experience building and coordinating cross-functional teams (development, QA, BA, architecture) drawn from shared or matrixed team pools.
- Understanding of RAID log management (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies) and commercial approval processes, including scoping, estimation, and change requests.
Commercial & Operational Accountability
- Experience owning delivery to budget and agreed timelines, with accountability for margin and utilisation, not just schedule.
- Experience with time/effort reporting and billing accuracy in line with client contracts (T&M, fixed price, or retainer models).
- Familiarity with SLA-based support models, working with support and service teams to ensure incidents are resolved within SLA.
- Exposure to Continual Service Improvement practices — identifying root causes and feeding fixes back into roadmap delivery.
Attributes
- Autonomous and comfortable holding ownership of escalations without deferring every decision upward.
- Commercially minded — understands margin, scope creep, and change control, not just delivery timelines.
- Naturally consultative — listens for the underlying business problem, not just the stated requirement.
- Melbourne-based preferred (for client face-time), though open to remote/interstate candidates for the right fit.
- Comfortable operating in a scaling, multi-region agency environment (UK, ANZ, Bulgaria, India) with cultural and time-zone sensitivity.
Nice to Have
- Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe Agilist/PM-PO, or CSM.
- Experience with ecommerce ecosystem components such as OMS, PIM, headless commerce, payment gateways, or ERP integrations.
- Prior agency-side (rather than client-side) PM experience.
- Flexible working with hours that support life outside work.
- Hybrid by design: work from home, or from one of our offices when it suits you.
- Learning and development opportunities to help you grow your skills and career.
- Team social events to connect, celebrate wins, and have a bit of fun together.
- Two charity/volunteer days each year to support causes that matter to you.
- 25 days’ annual leave per year, plus a day off for your birthday.
- Tryzens Awards recognising the great work across our global teams.
- Access to our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) for confidential support.
- Enhanced parental leave, including maternity and paternity benefits.
