Five hundred hours, one medium-scale project, and a September start. If you deliver best when the scope is finite and the governance is real, this suits.

You will take full responsibility for a project at a NATO site in Oeiras: definition, approach, control and formal acceptance, leading a cross functional team.

What you will be doing

  • Owning definition, approach, management, control and satisfactory completion of the project
  • Leading the project team and working across applications, infrastructure, networking and cyber security
  • Maintaining realistic plans and giving stakeholders regular, accurate reporting
  • Managing the change process, and assessing and managing risks, issues and lessons learned
  • Keeping quality reviews on schedule and to procedure
  • Monitoring cost, time, quality and scope, and acting when performance drifts outside tolerance

What you will need

  • A bachelor's degree in a related discipline from a recognised university
  • At least five years managing acquisition or capability development projects for a large organisation
  • Proven work with technical teams across several domains, and real command of dependencies, risks and issues
  • Experience in structured, policy-driven environments with defined governance and security requirements
  • Formal training or demonstrable experience in complex project management, and familiarity with transition to service
  • Familiarity with a C4ISR environment is an advantage
