- Experience monitoring software systems using observability, logging, or performance-monitoring tools.
- Experience developing automation scripts using an appropriate scripting or programming language.
- Working knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery practices and tools.
- Understanding of incident management, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and post-incident review processes.
- Ability to analyse technical problems and implement solutions using established procedures, sound judgement, and previous experience.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across development and operations teams.
- Willingness and ability to participate in an on-call rotation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with container technologies and orchestration platforms such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- Experience using infrastructure-as-code tools and frameworks.
- Understanding of distributed systems, system capacity, scalability, and performance optimisation.
- Experience supporting or improving build and deployment pipelines.
- Interest in developing broader knowledge of cloud infrastructure and modern site reliability practices.
