Position Summary
Join the Aetna Commercial Pharmacy Actuarial team in a financial analysis role! You will work on a fun and dynamic team collaborating with other Finance, Underwriting and Actuarial partners on the analysis of Aetna’s commercial pharmacy business. Perform a mix of recurring and ad hoc financial analysis duties while enhancing your knowledge of pharmacy, financial projection processes and Aetna’s fully insured, self-insured and specialty commercial business lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Commercial Finance team with monthly financial close for the Commercial pharmacy business
- Update and maintain dashboard reports and other models to help explain drivers of variance to financial forecasts
- Create weekly reporting on pharmacy metrics and projection factors
- Perform reconciliations of pharmacy claim data to data sources used by other teams
- Monitor performance of pharmacy network discounts relative to contractual agreements
- Perform ad hoc analyses for pricing and underwriting support of Aetna’s self-insured pharmacy business
Required Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, or a related analytical role
- Experience with Microsoft Excel (complex models, lookups, data manipulation) and PowerPoint (executive-level presentation design)
- Experience working with large data sets and financial reporting systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in healthcare, PBM, or insurance industries
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables under strict deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate financial data into clear, concise narratives
- Knowledge of or prior work with creating SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from large databases
Education
- Bachelor's Degree required in finance, business, technical, or related field

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$46,988.00 - $112,200.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
