Company Description

Lightsage builds infrastructure for the emerging agent economy, helping organizations track, benchmark, and improve how coding agents discover and use their APIs, CLIs, and MCP integrations. The platform is used by enterprises and high-growth startups to become the default tools recommended by software agents.

Lightsage focuses on agent experience and measurable impact on developer and product adoption, with more information available at lightsage.com. The team also created DevToolArena.com, a public benchmark that ranks developer tools across areas such as authentication, inference, and voice using Claude Code and Codex.

Role Description

As the Founding Product Manager at Lightsage, you will define product strategy and lead execution across agent analytics, API performance, content optimization, and customer-facing recommendations. You will work directly with the founders, engineers, and customers to identify valuable problems, set priorities, write clear requirements, and ship products from discovery through adoption.

Your day-to-day work will include conducting customer discovery, owning the roadmap, defining product metrics, managing APIs and integrations, analyzing customer and product data, and coordinating launches. You will also improve onboarding, recurring data workflows, internal product operations, and the processes used to turn customer feedback into product decisions.

This role requires a hands-on product generalist who is comfortable working across product management, data, customer operations, and technical implementation. Previous experience in the agent or AI market is not required. Experience with technical B2B products, APIs, integrations, analytics, and data workflows is more important.

Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of experience across product management, data operations, analytics, technical operations, or related roles in B2B software.
  • Experience owning a technical or data-intensive product such as an API, integration platform, analytics product, query engine, developer tool, or workflow product.
  • Track record of taking ambiguous customer problems from discovery through launch and iteration.
  • Experience building or scaling a team, operating process, onboarding motion, or recurring customer workflow.
  • Direct customer experience in requirements gathering, implementation, account ownership, or product feedback.
  • Working knowledge of APIs, data integrations, analytics, data pipelines, and modern software delivery.
  • Strong written communication and the ability to translate technical and customer requirements into clear product decisions.
  • High ownership, dependable execution, and comfort operating in an early-stage startup.
  • Experience with finance or software used by finance and operations teams is helpful.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in San Francisco, CA, with significant ownership and direct influence over Lightsage's product direction.
