We are currently seeking a Senior Power BI Developer to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Power BI Developer/Lead with 10+ years of overall IT experience and strong expertise in Microsoft Power BI, Data Analytics, Data Modeling, and Business Intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-scale BI solutions, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and scorecards.

• Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable reporting and analytics solutions.

• Build and optimize complex data models, star schemas, and semantic models.

• Develop advanced DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIs.

• Implement data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) processes using Power Query, SQL, Azure Data Factory, or equivalent tools.

• Integrate data from multiple sources including SQL Server, Oracle, SAP, APIs, Azure, and cloud platforms.

• Optimize report performance, dataset refreshes, and Power BI service administration.

• Manage Power BI workspaces, gateways, deployment pipelines, and security models.

• Implement Row-Level Security (RLS), Object-Level Security (OLS), and governance standards.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, architects, and leadership teams.

• Lead BI initiatives and mentor junior Power BI developers and analysts.

• Establish best practices for dashboard design, data visualization, and data governance.

• Support enterprise analytics, self-service BI, and executive reporting requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• 10+ years of overall IT experience.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI.

• Strong expertise in:

• Power BI Desktop

• Power BI Service

• Power Query (M Language)

• DAX

• Data Modeling

• Report Optimization

• Advanced SQL development and performance tuning.

• Experience with data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.

• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes.

• Experience with Azure ecosystem:

• Azure Data Factory (ADF)

• Azure Synapse Analytics

• Azure SQL Database

• Azure Data Lake Storage

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric is preferred.

• Experience with SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS is a plus.

• Understanding of REST APIs and data integration frameworks.

Functional Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience in stakeholder management and requirement gathering.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to lead discussions with business and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.

• Microsoft Certifications:

• PL-300: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate

• Fabric Analytics Engineer Certification (Preferred)

• Azure Data Engineer Certifications (Preferred)

Leadership Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end BI solution development.

• Define reporting standards and governance frameworks.

• Conduct code reviews and ensure solution quality.

• Mentor and guide team members.

• Drive continuous improvement and adoption of BI best practices.
