Our vision of creating proud communities living their best lives is at the heart of everything we do as we continue to build upon our legacy of supporting veterans and their families for more than 100 years.

We are seeking an experienced Development Project Manager to join our Property team. This pivotal role is responsible for the successful planning, design, procurement, and delivery of development projects across our Residential Care and Retirement Living portfolio.

Join a purpose-driven organisation where you'll help shape high-quality communities and deliver projects that make a meaningful difference to the lives of older Australians.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of development projects, from feasibility, approvals, and procurement through to construction and handover.
  • Develop and implement project strategies that achieve agreed outcomes for time, cost, quality, safety, risk, and customer experience.
  • Prepare business cases, feasibility assessments, approval papers, and governance submissions to support project decision-making.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasting, cash flow, commercial performance, and development returns.
  • Drive design excellence and ensure projects align with operational requirements, customer needs, sustainability goals, and organisational standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, residents, community representatives, councils, consultants, and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, WHS requirements, organisational policies, and development standards.

About You:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Property, Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience delivering complex property development or construction projects.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, procurement, and contract management.
  • Experience managing consultants, contractors, and multiple stakeholders across project lifecycles.
  • Sound knowledge of development, construction, governance, risk management, and WHS requirements.

RSL LifeCare offers the following benefits:

  • Salary packaging benefits of up to $15,900 per year through our not-for-profit status.
  • Access to Maxxia Rewards, with discounts across hundreds of leading retailers.
  • Fitness Passport membership.
  • Universal Parental leave
  • 17.5% leave loading on annual leave.
  • Opportunity to work for a respected organisation with a strong community focus and meaningful purpose.
  • Ongoing opportunities for professional development and growth.

Our commitment to diversity:

Our values guide everything we do: Do the Right Thing, Aim Higher, Care from the Heart, and Act as One Team.

We value diversity and inclusion and welcome applications from people across our community, particularly veterans, current and former ADF personnel, their families, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

We are committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels safe, respected, valued, and heard, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, age, or disability.

It is a mandatory requirement for employees working in the aged care sector to hold a valid Police Check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check, as required for the role. All clearances must be verified prior to commencement with RSL LifeCare.
