About the team

Our team is responsible for both the app platform and user-facing experiences. We collaborate closely with every product team to represent, shape, and enhance what it means to be mobile. The next chapter of our mobile efforts will take the quality bar to even greater heights and redefine mobile money movement.

What you’ll do
As the product manager on the Mobile team, you will be accountable for making the mobile app indispensable for startup founders and business owners. How do we get every YC founder to use the app? How can we increase usage across different geographies? How can we get more product teams to contribute to the app? In other words, your role is to ensure founders and business owners are more successful when they use the mobile app.
Responsibilities
- Deeply understand the needs of founders and business owners and identify the unique superpowers mobile can deliver for them
- Articulate the mobile strategy, prioritize the roadmap, and furiously execute to deliver user value
- Craft powerful product experiences with surprisingly great details
- Steer the broader organization to understand and build for mobile use cases
- Collaborate with the go-to-market team to ensure the mobile app is discoverable and compelling

Minimum requirements
- 8+ years of product management or product-focused founder experience
- Persistence and a whatever-it-takes approach to ensure that your product is successful
- Strong understanding of user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) principles and best practices
- Technical familiarity with mobile development, cross-platform architectures, and machine learning
- Ability to collaborate with engineering and design across time zones (PST, EST, CET)
Preferred qualifications
- Founder background, or experience in a very early stage company environment
- Built award-winning mobile apps in the past
- Believe that fast software is the best software
