Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated BIOS QA Engineer to join our Horizontal Engineering Initiatives QA team.

This role focuses on BIOS firmware validation, test automation development, and the application of AI technologies to improve engineering productivity and product quality.

The ideal candidate has strong Python programming skills, solid computer science fundamentals, and a passion for both manual testing and automation. We are looking for a well-rounded engineer who can contribute to product quality through validation, automation, problem analysis, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

BIOS Validation & Testing

• Participate in BIOS validation activities, including test planning, test design, and test case development.
• Execute functional, compatibility, regression, and stability testing.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
• Improve validation processes and testing efficiency.

Test Automation Development

• Develop and maintain automated test tools and scripts using Python.
• Contribute to automation frameworks and validation infrastructure.
• Improve automation coverage, execution efficiency, and script reliability.
• Support CI/CD integration and automation workflow improvements.

Test Environment Support

• Set up and maintain server validation environments.
• Support lab equipment, automation infrastructure, and validation platforms.

AI-Enabled Quality Engineering

• Explore and apply AI technologies to improve testing efficiency and problem analysis.
• Utilize AI tools for test development, automation, and debugging activities.
• Stay current with emerging AI technologies and best practices.

Collaboration

• Work closely with BIOS developers and cross-functional teams.
• Participate in requirement reviews, issue analysis, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with global engineering and QA teams to improve product quality and validation efficiency.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong Python programming skills and familiarity with Linux operating systems and command-line tools.
• Basic understanding of software development, testing methodologies, and computer systems.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills; able to read technical documentation and collaborate with global teams. CET-6 preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for firmware validation, test automation, and emerging technologies.
• Strong interest in AI, LLMs, and AI-driven engineering solutions.

Preferred

• Experience with Python projects, internships, or automation development.
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks, Git, CI/CD, or Linux shell scripting.
• Exposure to BIOS, UEFI, BMC, firmware validation, server platforms, or hardware architecture.
• Experience using AI-assisted development or testing tools.

• 支持CI/CD集成及自动化流程优化。

测试环境支持

• 搭建和维护服务器验证测试环境；
• 支持实验室设备、自动化基础设施及验证平台建设。

AI赋能质量工程

• 探索和应用AI技术，提升测试效率和问题分析能力；
• 利用AI工具辅助测试开发、自动化和调试工作；
• 持续关注AI技术发展趋势及行业最佳实践。

跨团队协作

• 与BIOS研发团队及跨职能团队紧密合作；
• 参与需求评审、问题分析及质量改进活动；
• 与全球研发及QA团队协作，共同提升产品质量和验证效率。

任职要求

基本要求

• 计算机科学、计算机工程、电子工程、软件工程或相关专业本科及以上学历；
• 欢迎优秀应届毕业生申请；
• 具备扎实的Python编程能力，熟悉Linux操作系统及常用命令行工具；
• 了解软件开发流程、测试方法以及计算机系统基础知识；
• 具备良好的英语听说读写能力，能够阅读英文技术文档并与全球团队协作；通过大学英语六级（CET-6）者优先；
• 具备良好的分析能力和问题解决能力；
• 热爱固件验证、测试自动化及新技术领域；
• 对人工智能（AI）、大语言模型（LLM）及AI驱动工程应用具有浓厚兴趣。

优先条件

• 具有Python项目、实习或自动化开发经验；
• 熟悉测试自动化框架、Git、CI/CD或Linux Shell脚本；
• 了解BIOS、UEFI、BMC、固件验证、服务器平台或硬件架构；
• 具有AI辅助开发或测试工具使用经验。
