Title: Graphic Designer

Reports to: Director of Marketing

Location: North Sioux City, SD Headquarters

Job Description: The Graphic Designer will play a hands-on design role working on creative solutions for all of Sterling’s departments. They will be accountable for the overall concepting and execution of assigned projects and bringing unique design solutions to Sterling. The Graphic Designer will collaborate with the marketing team to create one-of-a kind visuals in line with Sterling’s strategic goals and to support the business objectives.

Required Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field required. Candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, a strong design portfolio, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment. Three to five years of professional graphic design experience is preferred.

Graphic Designer Key Roles:

  • Develop and maintain the look and feel of all Sterling branding
  • Ensure consistency in visuals across all touchpoints
  • Create and optimize all print, digital, and graphic presences and positioning
  • Conceptualize and design high quality creative content
  • Stay up-to-date with graphic design and development tools, software, and trends

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Brainstorm, concept, design, revise, and deliver all customer-facing, and internally requested graphic design materials including but not limited to: advertisements, images, icons, banners, videos, handouts, brochures, websites, logos, invitations, registrations, newsletters, vehicle wraps, trade show booths, social media, stationary, templates, presentation templates, proposal templates, invoice templates, project specific materials, video, and marketing campaign materials in a timely manner
  • Catalogue and archive all graphic materials for future, current, and past needs
  • Assist marketing department when requested to develop or improve marketing strategy, branding, or messaging
  • Collaborate with all Sterling staff on graphic design and marketing needs
  • Edit original and stock photography to adhere to company branding
  • Project management to ensure all deadlines are met
  • Experience in WordPress is preferred but not required
