Summary – Basic Function of the Role
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving profitable sales growth across Algeria, with a primary focus on Enerpac’s industrial service solutions, including Leak Sealing, Bolting, and On-site Machining. The role will develop new and existing customer relationships within the oil & gas, petrochemical, energy, and industrial sectors, identify service opportunities, prepare technical and commercial proposals, support negotiations, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver customer-focused solutions. The position requires regular travel across Algeria, including northern coastal and southern desert regions.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for revenue growth, margin improvement, and achievement of sales targets, with a primary focus on Enerpac’s industrial service business.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets by developing new business opportunities and growing existing customer accounts.
- Identify opportunities for Leak Sealing, Bolting, On-site Machining, and other industrial services based on customer requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with end users, contractors, EPCs, and other customers within the oil & gas and industrial sectors.
- Actively visit potential end-user accounts, existing customers, and project sites across Algeria, including southern desert and northern coastal locations.
- Develop new customers while expanding business within existing accounts to generate additional sales and profit.
- Deliver customer presentations, seminars, demonstrations, and site visits to promote Enerpac’s service capabilities and solutions.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and tenders and participate in customer negotiations through to contract closure.
- Negotiate commercial terms and conditions with appropriate internal and legal support, ensuring compliance with company policies and risk-management requirements.
- Work closely with the Sales Coordinator to manage sales leads, customer databases, opportunity updates, submission dates, and tender support.
- Prepare and submit accurate weekly sales reports covering customer visits, opportunities, pipeline development, and required actions.
- Work closely with Service, Operations, Marketing, and other internal teams to develop and support customer opportunities and ensure effective service delivery.
- Monitor market trends, customer requirements, competitor activity, and industry developments and report relevant findings to management.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Sales, Business, or a related technical discipline.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in technical sales, industrial sales, or a similar customer-facing commercial role.
- Experience working with customers in the oil & gas, petrochemical, energy, or industrial sectors.
- Experience or exposure to industrial services, particularly Leak Sealing, Bolting, and/or On-site Machining.
- Proven ability to develop new business and manage existing customer relationships.
- Experience preparing proposals, quotations, tenders, and supporting commercial negotiations.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Algeria, including remote industrial sites.
Preferred Qualifications
- Mechanical Engineering or other relevant technical background.
- Existing network within the Algerian oil & gas and industrial sectors.
- Experience with industrial maintenance, shutdowns, turnarounds, or field-service environments.
- Experience working with EPC contractors and major industrial end users.
- Strong commercial and business-development mindset.
