Network Engineer

Position Summary The role will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving enterprise network and security infrastructure across our global hybrid environment, including on-premises data centers and cloud platforms, primarily Microsoft Azure.

The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years of experience in enterprise networking and network security, strong routing and switching knowledge equivalent to CCNP level, and hands-on experience with firewalls and cloud networking.

The position focuses on daily network and security operations, incident resolution, configuration management, and supporting infrastructure projects in collaboration with experienced engineers.

What you’ll do: 

•  Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot global enterprise network and security infrastructure.
•  Handle network and security incidents, operational tickets, and service requests.
•  Troubleshoot routing, switching, TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, NAT, VPN, and connectivity issues.
•  Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise firewalls and security policies.
•  Support Microsoft Azure networking, including VNets, subnets, NSGs, route tables, VNet peering, VPN Gateway, and hybrid connectivity.
•  Troubleshoot connectivity between cloud environments, data centers, and corporate networks.
•  Analyze network traffic, firewall logs, packet captures, and monitoring alerts.
•  Implement approved network changes, firewall policies, VPN configurations, and routing updates.
•  Support network security improvements, access controls, and segmentation activities.
•  Perform network infrastructure maintenance, upgrades, and configuration reviews.
•  Collaborate with Cloud, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and other technical teams to resolve connectivity and security issues.
•  Work with vendors and service providers on technical incidents and troubleshooting.
•  Maintain network diagrams, technical documentation, and operational procedures.
•  Participate in infrastructure projects, technical evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What to Have for this position.  Must have Skills. 

•  2–4 years of experience in Network Engineering and Network Security.
•  Strong networking knowledge equivalent to CCNP level.
•  Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, subnetting, DNS, NAT, and VPN/IPsec.
•  Hands-on experience with enterprise firewall technologies.
•  Practical experience with Microsoft Azure networking, including VNets, subnets, NSGs, UDRs, VNet peering, VPN Gateway, and hybrid connectivity.
•  Experience troubleshooting network connectivity and security issues.
•  Good understanding of enterprise LAN, WAN, Internet connectivity, and network security principles.
•  Experience with network monitoring, traffic analysis, and troubleshooting tools.
•  Ability to implement network and security changes following established procedures.
•  Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
•  Good communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

•  CCNP certification or equivalent practical knowledge.
•  Hands-on experience with Fortinet/FortiGate and FortiManager.
•  Experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
•  Azure networking certification or equivalent practical experience.
•  Exposure to Azure Virtual WAN and cloud network security.
•  Familiarity with AWS or OCI networking.
•  Experience with network segmentation and Zero Trust concepts.
•  Experience with network monitoring and logging platforms.

•  A hands-on Network & Security Engineer with strong enterprise networking fundamentals and practical network security and Azure networking experience.
•  The candidate should be capable of handling operational incidents, troubleshooting network and security issues, implementing approved changes, and supporting global infrastructure operations.
•  The role requires a practical engineering mindset, ownership of assigned tasks, and the ability to work effectively within a global Network & Security organization.
