Full description

The Support Engineer – Mobile Developer plays a critical role in supporting and enhancing enterprise mobile applications across Android and iOS platforms. The role involves investigating application defects, analyzing crashes and performance issues, implementing code fixes, supporting mobile releases, and delivering minor enhancements. The engineer collaborates with application support, backend, API, database, and business teams to ensure seamless mobile application operations while maintaining high standards of quality, security, and user experience. Kindly note the rotational shift period for this project is 05:00 AM IST to 05:30 PM IST

Responsibilities

Provide L4 production support for Android and iOS mobile applications. Investigate and resolve application defects, crashes, and performance issues. Perform code-level analysis, debugging, and remediation activities. Implement minor enhancements and approved functional improvements. Support mobile application deployments, releases, and app store submissions. Troubleshoot API, integration, and backend connectivity issues impacting mobile applications. Monitor application health, user-reported issues, and operational metrics. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions. Ensure mobile applications remain compatible with supported OS versions and SDK updates. Collaborate with development, support, QA, and business teams during incident resolution. Maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles, and support runbooks. Participate in major incident management and on-call support activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 4+ years of experience in mobile application development and support. Hands-on experience with Flutter, Android, and/or iOS application development. Strong proficiency in Dart, Java/Kotlin, or Swift. Experience integrating mobile applications with REST APIs and backend services. Experience troubleshooting application crashes, performance issues, and production incidents. Familiarity with mobile release management and App Store/Google Play deployment processes. Knowledge of source control tools such as Git and Azure DevOps. Understanding of cloud-based architectures and mobile application integration patterns. Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of ITIL-based support processes and incident management. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced production support environment and participate in on-call rotations.
