Now we're looking for a Support Engineer to join our team in Bogota (Colombia) or Mexico City (México) and chase the answers, seek the code and chase the dream with us.

Essence of the Role

The Support Engineer will be part of the Sinch Support team, which is a worldwide leader in delivery of Messaging solutions. This role reports to Manager Support Americas&Europe at Sinch. The workplace will be in Mexico or Colombia working remotely but it might need to travel occasionally depending on needs.

Requirements

For the role of Support Engineer, a relevant university degree is required and at least a couple of years of experience from technical roles within the telecom and/or IT industry.

We think the perfect candidate has experience and knowledge within some or all of the following areas:

  • Unix/Linux based systems
  • OCS/Prepaid Systems or VAS systems (such as SMSC, MMSC, USSD, WAP GW, IVR, Voice Mail, Collect Call etc.)
  • Knowledge in Oracle DB is a plus
  • Fluency in English
  • IP networks, Diameter, Sigtran/SS7
  • Knowledge Virtualization technologies such as VMware or similar is a plus
  • Takes initiative and makes carefully considered decisions
  • Customer-, technical- and solution oriented
  • Comfortable and experienced in multitasking
  • Well-Organised
  • A positive attitude
  • Comfortable and positive towards working in an ever-changing world
  • A recognized ability to excel and exceed expectations.
