Job Description
Turner & Townsend are leaders in professional services to the Data Centre sector globally. Due to the continued success and expansion of our Data Centre business area we are currently recruiting for experienced Technical Project Managers to join our Data Centre team across NSW.
Responsibilities:
- Manage complex projects and programs as the key client interface
- Developing working relationships, problem solving and driving projects to successful completion
- Managing the design process to achieve the client's requirements and manage expectations
- Reviewing project plans and specifications, scheduling, costs saving measures, discrepancies, potential construction problems, etc
- Managing project safety and environmental requirements
- Managing project timelines, risks and reporting
- Managing project budgets and advising on options to keep budget on track
- Being engaged with marketing and business development initiatives
- Co-ordinating vendor scope with overall project delivery
- Contract Execution: Drafting contract documents in strict accordance with legal approved contract templates. Working closely with project team/s to ensure effective and timely document processing and management of contract documents
- Bring strong communication, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
Qualifications
- Degree in a Construction Management a related field
- Technical understanding of Data Centre Infrastructure – HVAC, Electrical, Generators, Fire, Security and BMS
- Professional/tertiary qualification in project management, engineering or construction
- A minimum of 5 - 10 years project management experience, gained within a Data Centre or similar technical environment
- A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from project inception stage, design, authority approvals through to construction completion and post-project review
- Excellent knowledge and experience of all of the main project management concepts, tools and techniques
- Ability to thrive in a high pressure, fast paced environment
- Highly motivated and driven with a passion for delivering to your client
