Job Description

Innovation isn’t just what we do; it’s how we work. At FIS, you’ll collaborate with talented people across the globe to create solutions that shape the way the world pays, banks and invests. If you’re ready to grow your career while making a meaningful impact, we’d love to meet you.

About the role

As a Principal Product Manager Technical, you will lead the product direction for enterprise orchestration capabilities that support long-running banking processes. You will define what to build and why, turn complex operational needs into clear product requirements, and guide priorities from discovery through launch and adoption. You will partner with engineering, banking operations, risk and compliance teams to create reliable, reusable workflows that connect existing and new systems.

Your key responsibilities

  • Set the product strategy and roadmap for enterprise orchestration, including reusable workflow steps, connectors and templates.
  • Work with clients and internal partners to map banking journeys, identify controls and recovery needs, and define reusable product capabilities.
  • Define product contracts, acceptance criteria and workflow behavior for retries, timeouts, versioning, auditability and safe recovery.
  • Use product data, telemetry and customer feedback to measure adoption, reliability, delivery speed and business impact.
  • Partner with engineering while maintaining clear ownership of product outcomes, priorities and scope.

What you bring

Required qualifications

  • Experience owning a technical product or platform from strategy through launch, adoption and ongoing improvement.
  • Hands-on knowledge of workflow, orchestration, business process management or durable-execution products, including how workflows behave during failures and restarts.
  • Knowledge of banking operations such as settlement, customer onboarding, payment operations, approvals or exception handling.
  • Strong understanding of application programming interfaces, event-driven and distributed systems, data and state models, security, reliability and observability.
  • Ability to turn complex technical and business requirements into clear decisions, product requirements and acceptance criteria.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with workflow authoring tools, versioned definitions, connectors, credential management, REST, Kafka or secure file transfer.
  • Experience making low-code or no-code tools useful for business product owners.
  • Software engineering experience building and operating production systems.

The impact you’ll make

As a Principal Product Manager Technical, you will help define how complex banking processes are automated across connected platforms. Your work will make workflows more reliable, reusable and auditable while helping teams bring new capabilities to production faster. You will have meaningful ownership within a senior product and engineering team working on technology used by large financial institutions.
