The Opportunity:
Carries out day-to-day procurement objectives by adhering to a varied set of procedures, ensuring the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at minimum acceptable levels. Converts Purchase Requisition to Purchase Order. Monitors inventory requests, production schedules and purchase requisitions to coordinate purchasing activities for current/anticipated demand of materials and services. Ensures all SLA & KPI metrices are adhered to. Engages with internal teams, such as finance or operations, and external contacts, including suppliers and vendors, to exchange and provide procurement-related information that often requires explanation to ensure clarity and alignment. Resolves less concrete and frequently changing challenges, such as vendor performance issues or unforeseen delivery delays, by applying experience from similar situations or selecting the best solution from available alternatives.POSITION PROFILE:
The Business Analyst Planner is responsible to provide support the European planning team for their routine and preparatory tasks. This role is vital for maintaining data accuracy, communicating with stakeholders, and supporting the overall efficiency of planning processes to ensure effective and timely execution of planning activities.
MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with Unit of Measure (UOM) changes, including inventory and consumption setting adjustments.
- Perform updates to material master data for routine changes (MOQ, rounding value).
- Support product discontinuation activities, including centralizing and selling out remaining stock.
- Manage batch and general transfer requests across the Europe distribution network.
- Respond to general sales order inquiries and escalate issues where necessary.
- Process and analyze reservation contract for customers.
- Process and analyze customer return requests.
- Support CVC consistency checks and alignment in APO (Advanced Planning & Optimization).
- Support with correct set up of our supply chain network flow, taking into account regulatory, temperature,… specifics of the materials
- Assist in warehouse relocation activities by updating supply chain network settings and monitoring stock movement.
- Conduct monthly checks on stock discrepancies (e.g., incorrect locations), overstocked locations and perform corrective actions.
- Release blocked sales orders (P2 blocks) by liaising with Customer Service teams.
- Handle ad hoc reporting and data preparation (e.g., SRF reporting, consumption copies).
- Support with allocation and responding to mails received at the central planning mailbox
QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications):
- Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Management or other applicable discipline preferred.
- 1-3 years supply chain experience.
- APICS/CPIM certification desirable.
- Experience with ERP systems (especially SAP), experience with forecasting tools (e.g., APO) is strongly desired.
- Strong analytical mindset; comfortable working with large data sets.
- Proactive and curious; willing to ask questions and seek clarification.
- Capable of working independently and remotely, following established procedures.
- Detail-oriented, and highly organized.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with PowerBI and QlikView for reporting.
