Role purpose:

NordicEPOD designs and manufactures modular, prefabricated electrical power units (EPODs) using Eaton technology. The Sales Engineer is the technical-commercial bridge between customers and NordicEPOD’s engineering and production teams. The role translates customer power requirements into deliverable EPOD configurations, owns the technical side of the sales cycle from first enquiry through to handover, and supports the company’s growth as project execution ramps up.

Job Responsibilities:

Technical sales & solution design

  • Qualify incoming and self-generated opportunities; understand each customer’s power capacity, redundancy, footprint, site and timeline requirements.
  • Work with the Engineering team (electrical, high-voltage, mechanical, structural) to configure the right EPOD solution and scope of supply.
  • Develop technical proposals including concept single-line diagrams, layouts and clear scope boundaries.

Proposal & commercial management

  • Prepare quotations and bills of quantity/materials, coordinating with Local Procurement on sourcing and lead times and with the Business Controller on costing and margin.
  • Lead tender and RFQ responses, manage technical/commercial clarifications and support negotiations through to order.
  • Maintain pricing discipline and protect target margins.

Customer relationship management

  • Build and maintain relationships with target customers — e.g. data centre operators, developers, EPC contractors, utilities and industrial clients.
  • Own the sales pipeline and forecast; keep CRM and opportunity data current and accurate.

Handover & project support

  • Transition won orders cleanly to Project Management and Production, ensuring scope, assumptions and commitments are fully documented.
  • Act as a technical point of contact for commissioning/site teams when needed during execution.

Market & product feedback

  • Feed market intelligence, competitive insight and customer requirements back to Engineering to inform the EPOD product roadmap.
  • Represent NordicEPOD at relevant industry events and customer meetings.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or Mechanical/Energy Engineering with strong electrical competence).
  • 5+ years in technical sales, sales engineering or applications engineering — ideally in electrical power, switchgear, power distribution, UPS, data centre infrastructure, or modular/prefabricated power solutions.
  • Track record of owning technical proposals and contributing to won orders.
  • Familiarity with the Eaton power portfolio is an advantage.

Skills & competencies:

  • Able to read and interpret single-line diagrams and electrical/mechanical drawings.
  • Commercial acumen — quotations, costing logic and basic contract terms.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management across engineering, production, finance and customers.
  • Comfortable managing a pipeline and forecasting in a CRM.
  • Fluent English; local/regional language an advantage depending on final location
