Job Description :
We are seeking an experienced ERP Replacement Project Manager to lead the planning, procurement, selection, implementation, and transition of a new enterprise resource planning system. The successful candidate will oversee the full ERP replacement lifecycle, including project governance, stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering, business process modernization, vendor evaluation, implementation oversight, data migration, testing, training, change management, go-live, stabilization, and project closeout. The role requires strong leadership, communication, risk and issue management, scheduling, reporting, and vendor-management skills, along with experience delivering ERP or enterprise technology projects within municipal or public-sector environments. The Project Manager will work closely with leadership, internal teams, project stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure the project is delivered effectively, aligns with organizational objectives, and supports successful knowledge transfer and long-term operational readiness.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible project management experience.
- Proven experience managing enterprise technology implementation projects, preferably in the public sector.
- Demonstrated experience leading ERP replacement projects.
- Experience working with Canadian municipalities or similar public-sector organizations.
- Strong knowledge of the full ERP replacement lifecycle, from planning and requirements gathering through implementation, go-live, stabilization, and closeout.
- Expertise in project governance, planning, scheduling, risk management, issue management, and reporting.
- Experience with business process review, modernization, and requirements definition.
- Knowledge of ERP procurement, vendor evaluation, contract management, and implementation oversight.
- Experience overseeing data migration, system integration, testing, training, and change management.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including working with municipal leadership, staff, vendors, and project teams.
- Current PMP, CAPM, or PRINCE2 Practitioner certification.
- Ability to provide three qualifying Canadian municipal or similar public-sector project references.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work in a dedicated, full-time project management capacity and support on-site or hybrid project delivery.
