Candidates must possess a valid driver's license with a clean record and demonstrate strong leadership and automotive diagnostic skills. ASE Mechanical certification and advanced automotive diagnostic training are highly preferred.

Full description

  • Lead – Drive Audit Purpose:

Assure that customer requirements for vehicle validations, audits and warranty analysis are met and/or exceeded, with a customer lead attitude. Coordinate swift and appropriate response to issues affecting Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. Assure compliance to Quality Management System (QMS) requirements. Also handle fleet maintenance responsibilities.

Responsibility:

  • Assure that periodic drive audits are performed to customer requirements. Notify respective Quality Engineering/Quality Manager of any drive audit failures; assist with containment action as appropriate.
  • Assist with Engineering planning and execution of drive audit validations (includes part/component testing); assure these activities are performed per customer and/or internal requirements, including APQP, EAPA’s, SREA’s, etc.
  • Maintain the drive audit fleet, including repairs related to normal drive audit activities, as well as overall vehicle readiness to support business activities. Prioritize vehicle safety related issues.
  • Develop training plans with the Quality Manager to develop drive audit capabilities in areas of new technologies, for example, electric vehicles.
  • Maintain the customer diagnostic portals (Ford IDS/FDRS, Nissan Asist) with regular updates and subscription maintenance.
  • Oversee the purchase and sell of fleet vehicles. Manages the annual tag renewal and insurance verification.
  • Responsible for adherence to the policies, procedures, work rules and instructions of the IATF 16949 systems as related to operations.
  • Responsible for adherence to the policies, procedures, work rules and instructions of the ISO 14001 environmental management systems as related to operations.

Supervision:

Leadership responsibility for Drive Audit Techs, including training and development of new technology skill sets.
