Benefits
Full description
Do you thrive on making IT services run smoothly and enjoy taking ownership of projects that make them even better? We do. 🚀
We’re looking for an experienced IT Service & Project Manager to own the quality of IT services for our ~500 employees and lead key IT projects across Vincit.
What is the job like really? 🤔
This is a hybrid role combining IT service management and project leadership. Our end-user support is fully outsourced, so this is not a hands-on support role. Your main goal is to make sure our IT services deliver a great employee experience, strong security and good value — while also driving selected IT projects from start to finish.
You’ll manage an established provider and SLA, while taking a fresh, critical look at how well they meet the needs of our organisation. You’ll also act as the senior escalation point when needed and drive improvements in quality, efficiency and cost.
You’ll know you’ve succeeded when our IT services run smoothly, recurring issues get solved at the root, our partners deliver what’s expected, and projects turn into lasting improvements.
Here’s a snapshot of your key responsibilities:
☘️ Owning IT service quality: You manage our outsourced end-user support provider, govern SLAs, run regular service reviews, monitor service performance and drive continuous improvement.
☘️ Managing partners and costs: You hold our providers accountable for quality and responsiveness while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and optimise costs.
☘️ Leading IT projects: You take ownership of selected rollouts, migrations, tooling, security and infrastructure initiatives -managing scope, timeline, budget, vendors and stakeholders from planning to delivery.
☘️ Making improvements stick: You focus on root causes, better processes, self-service and clean handovers so today’s projects and issues don’t become tomorrow’s recurring escalations.
What are we looking for?
We’re looking for a proactive and experienced IT professional who enjoys taking ownership, improving services, and driving projects forward.
You combine strong service and vendor management skills with solid project leadership and enough technical breadth to challenge providers and make sound decisions. You stay calm when priorities compete, communicate clearly with different stakeholders, and focus on fixing root causes rather than firefighting individual issues.
🎯 IT service & vendor management: Proven experience managing outsourced IT services, partners and SLAs, with a focus on quality, costs and continuous improvement.
🎯 IT project management: A track record of delivering IT projects on scope, time and budget, from planning through implementation and handover.
🎯 Technical understanding: Broad, T-shaped understanding of IT environments, allowing you to evaluate solutions and lead projects credibly without being the deepest specialist.
🎯 Process improvement: Ability to simplify and optimise IT support processes while maintaining a great end-user experience and strong security, bringing structure without unnecessary bureaucracy.
🎯 Strong ownership: A proactive and pragmatic mindset, with the confidence to drive results through others while being trustworthy, discreet and collaborative.
🎯 Communication & prioritisation: Ability to communicate clearly across different audiences and prioritise calmly when escalations and project deadlines compete.
🎯 Service & project methodologies: ITIL or experience with recognised project methodologies is considered an advantage.
🎯 Technical user base: Experience working with a technically sophisticated user base is considered an advantage.
🎯 Language & location: Fluent in Finnish and English. The role is based in Helsinki or Tampere, with a hybrid model and an emphasis on onsite work.
Where can this role grow? 🚀
You’ll report to our CIO, and as you build trust and a strong track record, we expect you to take on increasing responsibility. The goal is for you to become someone the CIO can confidently hand things to and trust to drive them forward.
At Vincit, you’ll work in a technology-driven environment where we explore cutting-edge technologies and solve challenges such as AI adoption at scale, while keeping security, user experience and costs in balance.
