The Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Manager’s role is to develop, implement, and manage comprehensive quality assurance and quality control systems for construction projects. This role ensures that all construction activities meet client, design, and regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of quality across the organization. The position is heavily involved in Mission Critical environments and also helps with Health Care and TI projects.  The QA/QC Manager will often be involved with several projects simultaneously to monitor progress and quality, assist during critical evolutions and aid in problem solving of emergent issues.  This individual will be, in many cases, representing Clune both in project related activities as well as business development settings. 

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and write project-specific quality control plans, procedures, and audit checklists tailored to construction duties.
  • Develop and manage the implementation and maintenance of project quality plans.
  • Identify and implement corrective actions for quality control deficiencies.
  • Collaborate with design and field teams to address constructability concerns during preconstruction phases.
  • Promote a performance-based culture to meet and exceed team goals while fostering a positive team environment.
  • Train and provide guidance to project teams on QA/QC concepts and processes.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • The QA/QC Manager mentors, provides guidance, and supervises the QA/QC Team including completion of performance reviews and disciplinary action if applicable.

Job Requirements:

  • Advanced Experience and knowledge of the installation of QA/QC systems, processes and procedures.
  • Proven experience in quality assurance/quality control within the construction industry.
  • Ability to use independent judgment, self‐starting and ability to prioritize based on relevant factors.
  • In-depth understanding of contract specifications, construction methods, and quality standards.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with QA/QC tools and software is an asset.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
  • Collaborative and capable of driving engagement across diverse teams.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Construction Science, or combination of equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum 8 years of experience with responsibility of large commercial construction projects preferred
  • Experience as or working in collaboration with a construction project manager or superintendent preferred

Salary Range: $136,000 - $180,000

The salary range listed reflects a broad scope of potential earnings for this position. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, and internal equity. Please note that it is not common for candidates to be hired at the top of the range. We encourage open communication about compensation expectations during the hiring process.
