About us

City St George’s, University of London, is the University of business, practice and the professions. Our Change Support Unit (CSU) is a central team that helps the University deliver change, so that it makes a real, measurable difference to the student and staff experience. We work across three areas: Project and Programme Management, Change Management and Business Analysis. We also provide consultancy, training and capability building across the University.

About the role

As Project Business Analyst, you’ll report to the Head of Business Analysis and support strategic change projects across the University’s portfolio. You’ll use professional business analysis to define clear outcomes and benefits. You’ll look at how things work today, find opportunities to improve, and help shape future processes and services.

You’ll work closely with Project Managers, Business Change Managers, PMO colleagues and stakeholders across the University. You’ll make sure design decisions are based on evidence and that every solution traces back to a real business need.

What you’ll do

  • Elicit, analyse and document business requirements and processes
  • Map current (“as is”) and future-state processes, data flows and customer journeys
  • Lead user-centred design activities, including personas, journey maps and service blueprints
  • Plan and run workshops to explore improvement opportunities with stakeholders
  • Support options appraisal and solution design, and define metrics to track benefits
  • Present findings clearly to a range of audiences, in person and in writing
  • Help develop CSU toolkits, training materials and analysis standards

Closing date for applications: 15th November 2026 at 23:59

Interviews are scheduled to take place on TBC

What we’re looking for

  • A degree or postgraduate qualification, or substantial relevant vocational experience
  • A strong track record in business process analysis and requirements capture
  • Experience delivering process improvements that enhance the student or user experience
  • The ability to interpret complex data and turn it into clear, useful insight
  • Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation and communication skills
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with intermediate Microsoft 365 and Visio skills and experience using Excel for data analysis
  • Experience supporting projects through to a successful conclusion, both independently and as part of a team

A professional qualification in Business Analysis, Lean, Continuous Improvement or Change Management would be an advantage.
