Position Location
This position is located on site in Linthicum, MD.
Job Overview
Uses various software programs and resources to gather, organize, and analyze data into high-quality information formats that help management to make better informed decisions and improve performance. Develops and implements datamining techniques to extract data from areas such as company databases, open-source information, and operational data to formulate reports and metrics. Assesses a wide variety of departmental data such as financial, recruiting, inventory, cost and pricing, operational performance, safety, and training. Works with the Business Analytics Manager to develop methods for capturing the data needed to properly analyze business processes and outputs and improve the company’s performance.
Salary Range: $94,010 to $104,010/yearly
Responsibilities
Essential Job Duties:
- Collect data associated with areas or categories of work to be analyzed.
- Conduct extensive research to collect data and offer guidance on new initiatives.
- Perform data analysis to support decision making and reporting.
- Organize, review, and chart data into meaningful metrics and dashboards.
- Develop processes that streamline and improve internal and external reporting.
- Develop and prepare reports to summarize information, identify trends, and assess impacts.
- Effectively communicate report findings.
- Develop PowerPoint presentations.
- Develop and work within advanced and complex Excel spreadsheets with multiple worksheets and extensive formulas.
- Develop surveys to solicit feedback on initiatives, evaluate feedback, and make recommendations.
- Work constructively and collaboratively with all departments on data analysis solutions.
- Maintain the utmost confidentiality at all times.
- Monitor deliverables and ensure compliance and expectations are met.
- Understand contract and project requirements and remain current on changes.
- Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements.
- Operate Government and company-owned motor vehicles and/or other equipment.
- Performs other associated duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study, i.e. accounting, finance, economics, organizational development, etc.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with analytical data or databases.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience supporting the administration of government contracts (e.g. contract requirements, regulations, contract types, tracking funding, etc.).
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience extracting data from ERP or other relational database systems.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and a minimum of 3 years’ experience using it in a business environment.
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite programs including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work on different projects and adhere to the schedule of deliverables for each.
- Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
- Mature judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to pass a pre-hire background and drug screen.
- S. Citizenship.
- Valid state driver’s license.
Preferred:
- Experience using any of the following: Oracle ERP, Maximo, or Dayforce
- Experience building and working in pricing models.
- Possess a security clearance.
