Project Manager – Commercial Electrical Service
Job Type: Full-Time Industry: Commercial Electrical Service & Maintenance
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager to oversee commercial electrical service projects from initial customer request through completion. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate technicians, customers, vendors, materials, scheduling, and project documentation.
This position is ideal for someone who can manage multiple service projects simultaneously while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction, quality, safety, scheduling, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial electrical service projects from start to finish
- Review service requests, scopes of work, drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
- Coordinate and schedule electricians and service technicians
- Develop project schedules and ensure work is completed on time
- Prepare and review estimates, proposals, change orders, and project documentation
- Monitor project costs, labor, materials, and overall profitability
- Order and coordinate delivery of electrical materials and equipment
- Review technician service reports, time sheets, material usage, and job notes
- Identify additional work opportunities and prepare proposals for customers
- Manage change orders and obtain customer approvals before proceeding with additional work
- Track project progress and provide customers with regular updates
- Coordinate permits, inspections, shutdowns, access requirements, and other project logistics
- Work closely with field personnel to resolve technical, scheduling, and material issues
- Ensure projects are completed according to company standards, customer expectations, and applicable codes
- Review completed work for accuracy and completeness before project closeout
- Assist with invoicing, collections, and resolving billing questions
- Maintain accurate project records and documentation
- Identify potential problems early and develop solutions to keep projects moving
- Maintain strong, long-term relationships with commercial customers
