Full description

The global population is aging, and the need for home care is growing each year. Unfortunately, at a time when care is needed more than ever, the home care industry is facing a crisis – a shortage of care workers.

At Caribou, we're on a mission to solve the caregiver crisis. When caregivers feel valued, recognized, and financially secure, they stay longer, deliver better care, and strengthen our communities.

Caribou is building the engagement infrastructure for the home care workforce and the agentic layer for home care operations. Our platform interfaces with office staff and front-line caregivers to facilitate meaningful recognition, stronger relationships, and operational efficiency.

Caribou was recently recognized as one of The Globe and Mail's Top Growing Companies – #10 in technology – and we're just getting started. Join us as we transform how care organizations recognize and retain the people who make care possible.

Senior Product Manager, Caregiver Experience

Caribou is looking for a Senior Product Manager to help shape the next generation of products supporting home care organizations, caregivers, and the people they care for.

The caregivers who use Caribou are not one audience. They differ in how often they work, what motivates them, and how much they want to hear from us. A significant part of this role is understanding those differences and building experiences that respect them, rather than one experience averaged across everyone.

This is an opportunity to build at the intersection of healthcare, workforce technology, and consumer engagement, with significant autonomy and direct access to a highly engaged user base. You will report to our Head of Product and work closely with Engineering, Data, Design, Customer Success, Marketing, and other teams to determine what we build, how we bring it to market, how we measure success, and how we continuously improve the value our products deliver.

What you’ll be doing

  • The caregiver product experience end to end. Onboarding, profile, shift discovery and booking, and the return visit, from strategy and discovery through development, launch, measurement, and iteration.
  • Rewards, engagement, and the mechanics behind them. Points, draws, recognition, streaks, and the engagement loops that hold them together. You design them, test them, and decide which ones earn their place.
  • Cohorts and personalization. Define the caregiver segments that matter, and tailor rewards, comms, and app experiences to each rather than to an average user.
  • Comms. What caregivers hear from us, who hears it, and when.
  • The path from scrappy test to scaled rollout. Run low-overhead experiments to validate a hypothesis, then turn what you learn into clear product requirements, help content, launch communications, and a rollout playbook the team can run without you in the room.
  • Positioning and brand expression for the products in your portfolio, partnering closely with Marketing on naming, messaging, and launches, and making sure customer-facing teams understand the product and how to position it.
  • Success metrics you define and then own, with a focus on end-user adoption, engagement, retention, and the customer and business outcomes they drive.
  • Roadmap, priorities, milestones, and release schedule, balancing user needs, technical constraints, speed, commercial impact, and company strategy.

About you

  • 5+ years of product management experience in a fast-paced product environment
  • Meaningful experience building products for consumers or end users, not solely for organizational buyers or administrators; experience with B2C or B2B2C products is especially relevant
  • A hands-on UX toolkit. You can map a journey, sketch a wireframe, put a prototype in front of a caregiver, and run a usability session. You partner with Design rather than replace them, but you can express an idea visually instead of describing it.
  • A body of consumer work you can walk us through: what you shipped, what you deliberately chose not to ship, and how the experience felt to use
  • Strong instincts for experience quality. You notice when a flow is confusing or a screen is carrying too much, and you can say why.
  • A track record building engagement or gamification features such as rewards, streaks, draws, or daily activities, and the honesty to say which of them did not work
  • Analytical depth: cohort analysis, funnel and retention metrics, and A/B testing, including the judgment to recognize when a result is not yet a result
  • Experience shaping product positioning or brand, and partnering with Marketing on messaging, launches, and go-to-market
  • Genuine empathy for users and a desire to understand their day-to-day realities and build technology that meaningfully improves their experiences

Bonus points

  • Experience building products with high-frequency end-user engagement, such as consumer or mobile applications, workforce technology, HR tech, loyalty products, or gaming
  • Experience with loyalty, rewards, recognition, or behaviour-change products
  • Experience establishing or evolving the brand and positioning of a new product
  • Experience in home care, healthcare, or workforce technology
  • The ability to turn a read on user behaviour into build-ready scope quickly, without needing a full discovery cycle every time

Why this role is exciting

Build meaningful agentic products. You’ll have the opportunity to take AI products beyond demos and experiments and turn them into experiences that deliver tangible value for real users.

Build for both buyers and consumers. You’ll solve business-critical problems for home care organizations while creating products that caregivers genuinely choose to use and return to.

Own outcomes, not just features. You’ll have significant autonomy to make product decisions and will be accountable for whether the products you own achieve the outcomes they’re designed to deliver.

Shape how products show up in the market. Your ownership will extend beyond what we build to how the product is positioned, branded, launched, and understood.

Get incredibly close to your users. We have a highly engaged community of caregivers and customers, giving you a continuous feedback loop to understand what’s working, what isn’t, and what we should build next.

Make an impact beyond the product. The products we build support home care organizations and the caregivers delivering essential care every day. Your work can help make caregivers’ jobs easier, improve their experience at work, and ultimately contribute to better care.

Join us at an exciting stage of growth. Caribou is growing, our product portfolio is expanding, and you’ll have the opportunity to meaningfully influence both our products and how our Product function evolves.
