About this role

Your team

Data is at the heart of Aladdin, and the ability to acquire, govern, analyze, and derive insights from data is a key differentiator for BlackRock and our clients. The Aladdin Data team is responsible for the firm's data ecosystem, enabling data to be discovered, trusted, accessed, and used effectively across investment, operations, analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and client solutions.

Our mission is to build and operate the capabilities, governance, and workflows that enable data producers and consumers across BlackRock to efficiently share and leverage high-quality data at scale. Through the firm's Data Marketplace, the team delivers trusted, reusable, and AI-ready data that supports investment processes, operational excellence, analytics, and client outcomes.

Your role and impact

We are building the BlackRock Data Office within Aladdin Data to enable trusted, reusable, and AI-ready data across Technology & Operations through the firm's Data Marketplace.

As a Data Product Manager, you will help define, deliver, and drive adoption of marketplace capabilities that support onboarding, governance, stewardship, discovery, access, quality, and reusable data products. You will partner closely with product, engineering, operations, risk, compliance, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions that improve data accessibility, governance, and reuse across the organization.

Your responsibilities

In every role at BlackRock, you'll be expected to apply sound judgement and critical thinking to solve complex problems, adapt as the business evolves, and combine the curiosity to explore new approaches and technologies with the rigor to challenge the results. The scope of this role also includes the following responsibilities:

  • Define the vision, strategy, roadmap, and priorities for Data Marketplace capabilities supporting Technology & Operations.
  • Translate business, operational, and governance requirements into product features, measurable outcomes, and delivery plans.
  • Own and prioritize the product roadmap and engineering backlog based on user needs, adoption objectives, and strategic value.
  • Partner across Product, Engineering, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and business teams to align delivery with enterprise priorities.
  • Drive adoption through onboarding, documentation, demonstrations, release readiness activities, and promotion of reusable marketplace capabilities.
  • Shape capabilities that support AI-ready data, automation, and scalable governance across the data ecosystem.

Your experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology, data, business, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading product management, data product management, data governance, or related initiatives in complex enterprise environments.
  • Experience delivering enterprise data products, governance, stewardship, or marketplace capabilities, with a demonstrated ability to define roadmaps, prioritize outcomes, and lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and Agile delivery skills.
  • Experience with tools such as Aha!, Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar platforms; financial services data experience is beneficial.
  • Strong SQL skills with the ability to query and analyze complex datasets, investigate data quality issues, and partner effectively with engineering and data teams to define requirements.
  • Experience with one or more of the following domains: Trading, Accounting, Reference and Market Data, Custody and Asset Servicing, Investment Operations, Risk and Analytics, Corporate Data, Regulatory and Compliance, Sustainability, or Private Markets / Alternatives.
