This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Power BI Developer - Clearance Required based in United States.

The Power BI Developer will design, develop, and modernize business intelligence, reporting, and data visualization solutions supporting government missions. This role focuses on transforming business requirements into interactive dashboards, reliable data models, automated reports, and actionable insights. You will work with Power BI and Microsoft Power Platform technologies to improve reporting capabilities, streamline workflows, and modernize legacy solutions. Collaborating with business stakeholders and technical teams, you will ensure that solutions meet user needs, maintain data accuracy, and adhere to quality standards. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to digital transformation initiatives in a mission-focused environment serving government clients. Candidates should bring strong analytical and technical skills, a collaborative mindset, and an active Secret security clearance.

Accountabilities

• Analyze business requirements and stakeholder needs to identify appropriate Power BI reporting, dashboard, and data visualization solutions.

• Design, develop, and modernize Power BI solutions, including semantic models, datasets, dashboards, reports, and automated reporting capabilities.

• Build interactive dashboards, reports, data models, and visualizations that translate complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders.

• Use Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, Power Query, and supporting Microsoft Power Platform tools to deliver integrated data solutions.

• Integrate Power BI solutions with SharePoint, SQL Server, cloud services, databases, and other enterprise systems and applications.

• Leverage Power Apps, Power Pages, and Power Automate to support workflow automation, reporting, documentation, and integrated business processes.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to validate requirements, align solutions with user needs, and respond to evolving priorities.

• Conduct unit, integration, and system testing to verify functionality, data accuracy, reliability, and compliance with quality expectations.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving dashboards, reports, datasets, data models, data refreshes, and related applications.

• Provide ongoing technical support, maintenance, and enhancements for Power BI solutions and associated reporting capabilities.

• Create and maintain technical documentation for SharePoint solutions and related systems.

• Stay current with Power BI, Power Platform, data visualization, and business intelligence best practices to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

• Apply an Agile way of working to engage stakeholders, manage priorities, and deliver high-quality solutions within established timelines.

Requirements:

• Hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.

• Bring approximately 3–5+ years of experience developing Power BI solutions, with demonstrated capability in dashboard development, data modeling, reporting, and analytics.

• Possess an active Secret security clearance.

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of Power BI architecture, data modeling, development frameworks, and implementation best practices.

• Have proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, Power Query, and relevant data visualization techniques.

• Bring experience developing interactive dashboards, reports, semantic models, datasets, and data refresh solutions.

• Have knowledge of SQL Server, database design, and data integration concepts.

• Demonstrate experience with Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power Apps, Power Pages, and Power Automate, for automation, documentation, and reporting.

• Be able to analyze complex problems, assess business needs, and translate requirements into effective technical solutions.

• Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.

• Communicate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and other collaborators.

• Be capable of working independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team environment.

• Demonstrate accountability for solution quality, delivery timelines, and responsiveness to changing client needs.

• A master's degree is preferred.

• Familiarity with organizational change management practices or related certifications is preferred.

• Experience applying Human-Centered Design principles and methodologies is preferred.

• Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility requirements is an advantage.

• Previous experience in government contracting or working with the Department of War (DoW) is preferred.
